Ladislav Guardian Kovacs is one of the best snipers in CS:GO history, who managed to get into the top-20 for 6 consecutive years. His career ended so quickly that no one really understood what happened to VAC-VAC-Slovak? Today, we'll talk about that.

Good video, although you forgot to leave out the fact of his wrist injury that tremendously affected his performance during the time you mentioned he was so poorly performing. He even talked about it after a match during an interview.
actually a high quality video, hope you grow up fast!

overall the best sniper ever. so sad to see. carried a lot, never won a major. especially the one vs cloud9 was so sad to see...
if only faze didn't gamble on niko's pride as an IGL, i think guardian would still play. i believe the reason why guardian fall so hard is because he was really hopeless in faze decision. faze wasted talents back then; not only guardian but also their $1m investment on cold. he was a pretty solid player back then. its a shame it did not come well at the end.
I started playing and watching Csgo in 2019. Guardian joined Navi and dissapeared out of nowhere, always wondered how and why.

I played CS since 1999, remember guardian from 1.6 and CS:S he is a legend, i even met him once at an airport board in lounge in Vienna, as his career went on and everyone improved and adapted he remained stagnant, his laziness and lack of drive led him to fall into oblivion.

@@BeowulfGaming not true. he spent years at the top and always carried. i think he burned out because his teams failed him

@@maxaffe3195 you are not entirely incorrect, he is burnt out, but check some articles about him and what teammates had to say, he always blamed others and didnt practice enough, he apparently didnt own his mistakes and learn from them. I think he is somewhat similar to s1mple
these videos are great, very high quality, and good information. keep it up, it will only be a matter of time before you blow up on this channel
wow, this is so informative. good content and quality.
As a GuardiaN fan for many years, I personally think that the most important reason why he did not play well after returning to Navi is to change the mouse, he changed from kinzu v3 to mx518, in fact, he also played well with kinzu v3 in Navi in October 2019. The two mouse molds are different in weight and chip, and the GuardiaN has always liked the feature of straight line correction

Interesting insight
when he left navi he started streaming a lot, especially fpl everyday, i used to stop on his stream from time to time. he launched his own gaming eshop. teamwise i know he had a few stand ins in sinners and dignitas at flashpoint 1 in 2020 and also played in variety of teams with seized i think which didnt last long and yeah, he was supposed to be like an experienced leader at sampi with young guys from cz/sk but it didnt really worked out and he left last december and since then he streams on twitch from time to time, mainly faceit with friends or mm with viewers etc...... what a shame he didnt get back
Again very nice video ❤

my fav player
Well, it shows that on high level of competition the mentality is a huge factor. Even Pro players who train themselves to sicknesses still can't escape that. I really felt sad for GuardiaN, one of the players that inspired me when i was starting playing cs, for becoming a hate magnet when he was in Navi that last time, it just felt wrong 😢
at 2:33 he looks totally high on aderall or something
bro his story make me so sad
i just subscribed my dude 😀
Hey cyberstroke. These are great videos! I'll continue to support this channel. But at the size of the csgo community right now it doesn't seem like you'll grow that fast. But don't give up! With cs2 the game will blow up again, and if you build an audience now, you might be able to blow up once cs2 comes.

@@nicedreams7192 Yes and that is the reason why it is hard to become a big csgo channel these days. The market is oversaturated with channels.
Guardian is a truly unfortunate player. He had his wrist injury right at his prime and just cannot recover. Even after his resurgence in faze clan his playstyle changed drastically. He was flicking less, playing off of game sense and angles more, and becomes even more of a team player. I would say career wise he is a better awper than kenny, because of his more versatile style and pistol ability, even though it can be argued that kennyS was a better carry and had a higher peak in 2014. He really did not invest much into his fame during his time as one of the best players in the world, probably because of the lack of a major championship. He is streaming less now due to sickness, which caused his huge weight loss, and had to sell his awp to get money for treatment. He and kennyS will be remembered for ever as the greatest awpers of csgo and may be of all time. Wish him the best of luck in life.
Guardian comeback would be great!
miss him :/

Wasn't that 2016 year very bad for Na'Vi because they let go of Zeus hoping Starix would call as coach, but coaches then were promptly banned from speaking during live game outside of pauses. So they literally lost igl and had to find subpar igl replacement = very bad results.

Players' mechanics decline with age, he played for so long, starting with source that it must have been hard to keep up with that level of mechanics. He was 27 when he rejoined navi. Maybe if he took that break he could have lasted 1-2 more years. Its also interesting to think about how his prime would perform in today's meta, I think it suits his style a lot.
