    I met Donald Sterling during the owners meetings when I was part of an interview crew and he was nice and funny to us. Granted we only spent around 45 minutes talking to him but nothing racist was said and he was very cool with the questions that were ask while some other owners were jerks and would not take a single second to say hello back when we said hello to them. People hate on me when I say this but it's what happened and when I was around the man he was very nice!

    His knee caved inside and made valgus position, if i remember it right. It's not a good position and, especially for deceleration, though many player do it like KD when he shooting the ball. Tl;dr that position make you prone to injuries

    A good comp for Davis is JohnWall with a better jumper

  • @schuylersavage276

    @schuylersavage276

    Жыл бұрын

    While I do think they are good comps for each other if we look at them in their eras, Baron was not necessarily a better jump shooter than Wall. Baron shot above 35 twice, .356 being his high. Wall during his prime shot a high of 37 percent, and a total of 3 times above 35 percent. For their careers they are both 32 percent, but that includes walls first couple seasons even his 7 percent season before he really really improved his shot. Wall has never been a “good” shooter by nba standards, but he also never got credit for becoming a much better shooter as he entered his prime. Wall was always a hot n cold shooter, similar to Baron. No one would ever say Baron couldn’t shoot, but his percentages just weren’t good cuz he wasn’t consistent, but he loved to Jack them up and he would get hot. Wall also would get hot, but no one ever seemed to notice. Both of them were the type to shoot 40 percent for a week, then 15 percent the next week. Baron did average more attempts for his career tho, about 5 for him and 4 for Wall. But again, both 32 percent for career, wall wirh a higher peak and lower worst years. Wall also was similar to Westbrook during his prime in that he would stroke the mid range 15 footers all game long, he and Russ often led the league in makes from that area, but similar to Russ he didn’t shoot it efficiently, just efficiently enough to keep taking them as a way to rack up the points. He shot it about 42 percent during his best prime years. Wall also a higher career FG percentage overall than Baron, but both not efficient by NBA standards, tho Wall does have more decent FG percent seasons compared to Baron. Walls Houston season was very similar to what Baron would do during his prime, 21 and 7 a game on 40/32/74 splits. But walls prime was 20/10 on 44/34/79 splits. Wall also shot above 38 percent from 3 during his 5 year all star run, as well as his lone seaosn with the rockets. It’s weird with Wall, no one gives him credit for the improvement he did make as a shotoer, BUT at the same time he never made a consistent leap to becoming a GOOd shooter. He would have years where he was above league avergae, and then he’d come back with a 30 percent from 3 season. This year wirh the clips is also hard to gauge because he isn’t shootint it well, but he also is all out of sorts trying to find his role on the team in an odd way and tough situation. I think the 32 percent on 2 makes per 6 attempts he shot in Houston is a good exmLpe of what he really is as a shooter. He isn’t consistently as good as his 37 percent season, but he also isn’t as bad as his 30 percent seasons. He’s somewhere in the middle. He’s not going to make more than 5 in a game ever, but he also can make 3-5 on the right night. Wall CAN shoot, but he isn’t a good shooter. During his prime tho it was really his mid range that would determine if he was going to go off. He’s such an emotional rhythm player that if he started feeling good on his J, he would literally make 9 of them. Saw it happen dozens of times. And sometimes it wouldn’t even he spaced out. He would just hit jumper after jumper and there was nothing antone could do about it, similar to when Russ was feeling it on OKC. To say those guys couldn’t ever shoot and say Baron was a good shooter as some people do jusr isn’t the case. It’s just some guys, all 3 of them, have to really be feeling it to make a shot, but when they are they can shoot it like a sniper
