When my son was 3 months old, my ex-boyfriend set our house on fire in the middle of the night. It was 31 years ago...I stayed single and never allowed a bf to move into our home. Always put your children first. The mom either knew or chose not to see because her boyfriend could not hide with his eyes on Madeline. Shame on her, too.

When I was pregnant with my first son I saw a scientist on a documentary showing when a female tiger lost her mate and got a new mate when her 2 cubs were toddlers like around age 1 I think. Anyway first the male tiger was nice with the cubs like a great step dad, once mom started leaving the den to hunt for everyone even stepdad too. He cub sat when she got dinner for a while when the mom was gone longer stepdadtiger killed first one cub and took him away from the den first so mom wouldn’t know, then he got rid of the second cub. This is because mom would go into heat & he can start his own blood line. That show freaked me out about allowing anyone to move in.

I just watched a video on another channel where the caller said they were a victim of s.x trafficking amd said he knows stephan as one of the traffickers and it goes back to like 2010.. it's part of a larger ring. They dropped names and even mentioned a connection to some church in Florida. I feel like stephan and jenn had connections to the St cloud bust and they may have dumped her body in that area to male it seem the pedo ring was behind her ending. How interesting that the bust happened when maddie went missing, as if Stephan himself rather them out in case they found her to take the spot light off him. Just speculation.

I was a child victim from 3 yrs old (maybe earlier), until 14 yrs old. It was by my stepfather. I didn't tell anyone, because he would say things to me like....'if you tell, you will be taken far away from us and never see us again. If you tell, you will get in trouble. If you tell, they will make me leave and it will hurt your mother and you don't want to hurt your mother, do you? If you tell, you'll never see your dog again. If you tell, they won't understand our love and they will think you're a slut. If you tell, you'll never be able to see your friends at school again. If you tell, I will tell them you're lying and because you are a kid they won't believe you. If you tell, it will break my heart. If you tell, I won't be able to buy you toys anymore. If you tell, it will ruin our family and it will be your fault. If you tell, you'll be sent to a kid jail and we'll never be able to see you again. If you tell, it will destroy our special love. If you tell, you won't be my favorite girl anymore. If you tell, I will be very, very sad and no one will understand how much I love you. If you tell, you won't have a family anymore'. He paid me shiny quarters when I was really little to not tell, and when I got older he just became more forceful and said if I told, then he'd never speak to me again. I was confused, scared, traumatized, guilty, sad, depressed, conflicted. That's why she didn't tell, Vinnie. My mother ignored the red flags. My mother pretended nothing was going on for a variety of reasons. My mother surely saw the signs. My mother dismissed my pleas to not leave me at home alone (with him), amongst other things. It happened under our roof frequently, while she was there, he even left their bed at night to come to my room and she supposedly never knew. Frequently, he told her I smelled like I needed a shower and she allowed him to punish me and force me to shower while he watched, and even shower with me to 'scrub me down'. My mother is German and married him (he was an army soldier and they came to USA) and she had no family or friends. My mother had to of known, there were too many things a mother should have seen. She was also a victim of her father when she was young. My mother, when I was in my 30's, produced a letter I had once written to him as a young girl (about 8) when he was stationed in Korea, telling him I loved and missed him as proof that it must not have been so bad, I guess. She also showed me pictures of me smiling, to imply I was a happy kid. I had the exact same dark circles, sadness, trauma in my eyes as Madeline did in her pictures. None of my teachers ever noticed (except one and I was terrified he was going to tell on me). No neighbor ever noticed or stepped in, no extended family noticed, and his brother also molested me right under the roof of his family. No doctors ever noticed. No one at the church ever noticed. If anyone did, they never said a word. At 14 years old, a lady I started babysitting for noticed, gently confronted me about it, and it terrified me that she somehow knew. I didn't understand how she knew. She told me she'd give me a week to tell my mother, but I was terrified for anyone to find out, so instead....I attempted suicide and slit my wrists and that was the beginning of the end, and it finally ended but a life of trauma filled dysfunction began. So, that's why children don't tell.

During the mom's interview, she said we hadn't fought leading up to her birthday. That struck me as unusual, so she has fights/ arguments with a little girl who is your daughter, not present for her bday, "we" dropper her off, dropping off someone who was already dead, very odd behavior...and she comforts Madeline's abuser. I called 911. I was running around everywhere trying to find them. I’m only mentioning this because, when I’m looking at the mother during her interview, I don’t see that same panic on her face. She’s shaking but it’s more of a nervous shake. She reminds me of my kids when they have been caught doing something they shouldn’t be doing and they’re trying to lie about it. She doesn’t look like a mother whose daughter is missing. All I see is guilt.

This has brought my PTSD back strong. My mom's bf kidnapped me at 11. Then he married her. He threatened me so I didn't tell. But everyone needs to realize that kids don't tell because this is the most embarrassing thing in the world. You feel gross and if you're a child, you think adults are in charge. They make you promise not to tell, you think you have to. It's such a mind f*ck when you're 11, it happens, and then they move in. You can't get away, so you're terrified to tell. When I finally told, he got way meaner. Did she tell in 2022? Is that why he got meaner? When I told my mom, at 13, she told my Mormon bishop, and he sat me down across from my stepdad and asked me to try harder to get along with him, and he told me to try harder to not get alone with him. Makes me angry now. But then I was just scared. It wrecks your mind.

I think my mother and aunts blocked out their own trauma. He was CIA and had mind control training along with access to drugs. I drank for 15 years before I went to rehab. That’s partly why I drank. Thankful I was able to get help years ago when the rehab system was booming in the late 80’s and early 90’s.

This story has ripped my heart out. This poor little girl never had a chance to live a normal life. Much less being murdered at such a tender age. Bless this child and all those who are being abused. This is just one, there are hundreds more .

I was sexually abused for years by my great grandfather and my cousin. A cousin visiting from Las Vegas walked in on the abuse and told my aunt and she told him to mind his own business. I could have been rescued but my family chose to turn a blind eye. The abuse happened in my family for decades, so many victims and no one spoke up except me when I turned into a teenager.

It is time Mothers of children who are molested need to be held accountable. I speak from experience. My own Mom did not believe me. I still cry over it at 55. Only a law will change this. Making it no longer legal to turn a blind eye when a child is telling something so horrible.

He probably threatened to expose her pictures to friends, Facebook ect. She probably felt suicidal over it, that's why she said she wanted to go live in the woods. And Madeline probably threatened to tell, and he decided to silence her. This mother has no excuse for not protecting her.The mother had to be part of covering things up. Terrible. 😢

I don't know Maddy's mom's employment situation, but I would have requested the day off for my daughter's 13th birthday. Turning 13 is a major milestone; especially for a girl and only child. If there was absolutely no way I could get a day off, I would have had the party on a day I was scheduled to be off. The host of this show obviously knows little, if anything at all about child SA. I was a victim of child SA at the hands of my "father" from the ages of 4-12. My "father" never, in the 8 years he abused me, told me not to tell. He didn't have to. Like most children experiencing this, I was too ashamed to tell. In the 8 years I was abused he never abused me while my mom was home. But one night as I slept and mom was in another room, I woke up to him molesting me. I woke up stunned and angry, so I ran to tell my mom whose response was "get out of here you liar" I'm certain that had I not been asleep when the abuse occurred, I wouldn't have told that night. I was stunned. This was the only reason I was able to tell.
