I enjoy these videos and find them really useful, however I sometimes wish the subs would stay on a little longer. Especially with the longer sentences. I always use the pause button to stop and read, so being able to see the full sentence and its translation in the same frame would make it more convenient, at least for me.

the main problem I see is people just being extreme. Everyone used to adore him, now it seems everyone tries to undermine it at every opportunity. I mean he's obviously not a perfect person, probably would be stressful to work under, but when I see people saying he does nothing good at all it seems purely based on whatever the mainstream crowd is thinking at the time. It would be nice if people could view a person as neither black nor white but somewhere in the middle. You have to take the good with the bad.

Given that she is of French Canadian (including Québécois) decent, it’s very possible she is aware of this. Grimes has taught her son to call her Claire, not Mom. WTF? Also watches violent movies like Apocalypse Now with a child not even 2 years old. Being rich does not excuse this couple such disgraceful behaviour.

So far from thinking outside the box, the man's only talent is that he is wealthy. For example the time he got sued over his failed rescue in Thailand. "Musk was described as “a thin-skinned billionaire who is obsessed with his public image and who has a history of vindictively and intentionally ignoring truth to maintain that PR-created image." Suggesting a mini submarine was the answer, only showed his ignorance of the environment of the caves. Idiot sought only to profit from the emergency and make it all about himself. The myth about his Spartan life style and living in a $50k mobile home have been show to be barefaced lies. I don't think that's inspirational, do you?

I don’t know how much in taxes he’s going to pay in Germany, but in the U.S., Elon Muskwill pay a total of $12 billion in taxes for 2021, which is the largest in history.

@@Solaxe common people are able to pay taxes because they are working in a company like TESLA. It's the corporates that get tax concession, not the CEO. Govt cant tax them heavily, if the company will go down so will thousands of people who work there. Then even bankrupt Musk won't be able to feed them. I think you have enough space and food in your home to take care of them if that happens. Although I do not defend space trips and million-dollar yachts and private jets.

How can you ignore that and say that billionaire (which includes Musk) do not pay taxes? You are welcome to refute that statement that Musk does not pay income tax with data to support your argument but you should not just recite the cliched, tired refrain, "rich people pay no taxes".

Elom Musk ist schlicht und ergreifend jemand, der Marketing beherrscht und dies in gute Geschäfte umsetzen kann. Mich hat im Übrigen noch niemand überzeugen können, dass seine Geschäfte den Resourcenverbrauch auf unserem Planeten verringert haben. Es wird ein riesen Hype darum gemacht, der Nutzen für uns alle ist für mich bisher nicht erkennbar. Was soll gut daran sein, dass ein technisches System mit einem Gewicht von 2 Tonnen im Schnitt nur 1,4 Personen transportiert? Übrigens steht die neue Fabrik in Grünheide zu Teilen in einem ausgewisenen Trinkwasserschutzgebiet. Kritiker befürchten nicht umsonst, dass es diesbezüglich Probleme geben wird, auch dass durch den anvisierten hohen Wasserverbrauch der Fabrik der Region das Wasser abgegraben wird, einschließlich Berlin. Letztlich muss ich sagen, dass unser Wirtschaftssystem einen hohen Resourcenverbrauch befördert. Dass Elon Musk unser Wirtschaftssystem für seine Zwecke nutzt ist ja dann nur die logische Konsequenz.

Interessant, das man das Adjektiv 'okay' auch deklinieren kann. Wieder was gelernt, vielen Dank!

Before talking about electric cars being the future, I think you should investigate a little bit more about how and where Tesla obtains the raw materials for their "environmental friendly" batteries. Elon Musk is just a businessman who understood that Umweltschutz is a good selling point. He sells what people want. And people want to believe that they are protecting the environment by driving a noiseless car. Capitalism takes something beautiful like the desire to protect our planet and transform it into a business.

I understand you’re point of view, but environment it’s not just about the long term conditions, there’s a lot of environmental problems, like air pollution, particles, dust in the air, at the present time, that are a big big problem in places such as India, China and many others, also noise problems are a must too at some big city’s, so having a general apply to electric cars is in fact a very good improvement to solve this problems I just told… Even if the impact in 100 years of electric cars, in terms of battery’s of lithium production is in, proportionally speaking, as big as if we continue to use fossil fuel cars, the impact on the daily is way small with electric ones.

You know what amazes me is the talk about how he’s cars aren’t environmentally friendly. He made electric cars mainstream when they were mainly thought to be impractical. His electric cars are the first most successful iteration of sustainable energy powered cars and they aren’t meant to be perfect now. As time goes on, we discover better ways to make them and reduce the carbon footprint. The criticism is analogous to criticizing the first computers and calling them a waste for being so large, using a lot of power and space. Well, 60 years later you have computers in your hand and can do so much more with less power and space. New technologies don’t come out the best the first time people it takes a while for it to really serve its purpose. So y’all chill. And about space, come on he’s said it before, the project is purely from a scientific view that the earth is susceptible to any sort of cosmic endangerment. The purpose of going to space or Mars isn’t to first live there, it is to start advancing technologies regarding space travel in order to increase the probability of the survival of future generations of our species. And these are also the early iterations so they seem useless till we can properly advance the tech. Y’all seem to forget that there’s been 5 or maybe 6 global extinctions on this planet prior to humanity and that we’ve literally lived in the longest time period without any major external catastrophic threat to life pre COVID I guess, maybe the 1900 flu. So y’all chill, even if you fix the planets carbon footprint what’s to say something else ain’t killing y’all???

Tesla has done no building without appropriate permits. Because they have not gotten approval for the entire build, they've been getting temporary building permits for every step that they build. Tesla is not breaking any rules, and Tesla isn't asking for any special treatment. Tesla has never done any unpermitted building in Germany. They simply started building with the permits they were able to get, while waiting for the other permits to become available.

Titles need to be bigger and clear than it .

Danke an Carina, die mich vor ein paar Jahren mit der Musik von Marteria bei einem Easy German Meeting/Stammtisch in Breslau infiziert hat. Seit dieser Zeit höre ich leidenschaftlich die Musik von Marteria. Am 11.11.2021 kaufte ich in Dresden die die neueste CD von Marteria (weil nur die mir fehlte) und habe sofort die polnische Version der Seite über Marteria bei Wikipedia erstellt. Warum? Nachdem ich die CD gehört hatte, hatte ich das Gefühl, dass es Marteria jetzt wirklich schlecht geht und dass ich ihm etwas 'schuldig' bin. Danke noch einmal Carina, dass du mich damals damit infiziert hast. Pozdrowienia również dla Janusza. Oglądam euch cały Zeit, tylko in den ostatnich 2 Wochen nie, bo wir mieliśmy zu Hause wszyscy Covid. Szczepionki halfen nam sehr znacząco. Mein halbdeutsches Herz schlägt weiter...

In diesem Video sagt jemand so ein Satz "also ich halte den für 'n völlig überschätzt.". Ich kann nicht verstehen, was es "für''n "bedutet. Ist das "für einen" oder "für den" oder was ?

Na da bin ich doch froh, dass die Menschen doch noch halbwegs vernünftig sind und nicht jeder auf sein Marketing-Gelaber reinfällt. Halte ihn selbst auch für einen absolut überschätzen snake oil salesman der keine besonders hohen moralischen Grundsätze zu haben scheint.

@@chaddy2409 Das mag sein, doch wenn es um ihre Produkte geht, dann achten die Meisten schon darauf, dass Sicherheit an erster Stelle steht und diese keine Menschenleben gefährden. Bei Musk ist das nicht der Fall. Dort steht Design und Marketingfähigkeit an erster Stelle und an Sicherheit scheint der gar nicht zu denken. Kein Anderer würde auf die Idee kommen unzerstörbare Fenster in ein Auto zu bauen die man im Falle eines Unfalles nicht zerbrechen könnte. Kein Anderer käme auf die Idee Computerspiele beim Fahren zu ermöglichen. Kein Anderer vermarktet ein autonom fahrendes Fahrzeug das lediglich Level 2 erreicht als "Full Self Driving" und lässt seine Kunden aktive Beta-Tester im Straßenverkehr spielen. Das beschränkt sich auch nicht nur auf seine Autos. Kein Anderer würde Tunnel bauen aus denen man im Fallen eines Feuers nicht entkommen könnte. Das einzige was Musk dazu bringt sicherheitsrelevante Features zu implementieren sind Regularien und die hasst er wie die Pest.

Ich bin sehr neugierig, warum sie diese Frage ausgesucht haben 🙂. Ich habe für mein Studium über neue Technologien gelesen in den letzten Tagen und da wird viel über Elon Musk geredet. Ich mochte Musk früher mehr, aber jetzt, als ich einen Auswahl von seinen Tweets gelesen habe, bin ich verwirrt...

I think this is what describes Germany a well (i might be wrong), where people make their opinion l based on their own data and knowledge not simply hearing here and there or from some influencer...(when I only saw the video title, i was expecting all good about him..) I like a sentence in the video "ich mag die Menschen, die einfach anders sind und anders denken" and that's what I like about Elon Musk..

I feel the same thing you said after I watch this video , I do not dislike Elon Musk but I'm also not a fan, considering he has done his ex-wife wrong but he has totally change the world with his talent. I do not understand how most people interviewed in this video think that Elon Musk is arrogant or overrated. You can simply see how Elon Musk is a nice guy or at least he behaves politely in interviews. I wonder if these people have even try to understand who he is, before commenting on him. Anyway, I love Germany and I am learning German, it is a shock to know that they judge Elon Musk this way but I am not hating on them
