Daisies are feeding plants for guinea pigs, they might even have fever sinking properties. Here they are called Ganseblumchen.

My guinea pig heard your intro with the guinea pig squeaking and was looking around for the other guinea pig 😝

Daisies, buttercups, Bulbs(garlic, onions,), evergreens(ivy, box, Laurel,) seeds and plants going to seed are iffy, lawn mown grass, sadly unless it is grass and a bit of fruit here and there it’s probably a no go. List at 5:56

Thank you. One of my Guinea pigs have just died yesterday and my dad is getting a new one so my other Guinea pig is not lonely so I decided to search this up because when I first got the Guinea pigs we didn't search up what we could or couldn't give them. This helped a lot

My Guinea piggles live outside and have a big cage that goes on the grass.. there are daisys in the outside cage but my piggies don’t eat them which is very good x

I feed my guinea pigs grass hay from the place I got them. I got them from my friends guinea pig babies. They pick up the grass by their hands. Should I stop feeding this hay to them? I have feeding this hay to them for about 3 years now??

If they are free ranged over a very large yard that has a mix of both good and bad wild or cultivated foods do they know not to eat things like ivy or dandelion or potato leaves or will they sample everything and die?

I've learnt more about piggies, so I need to buy some and begin farming them. Iam in Uganda but where can I get those piggies with much fur?

My daughter is visiting and took it upon herself to feed my piggies Grapevine leaves. I can't find anywhere that mentions if they are okay for pigs or not. I have been keeping a close eye on the girls and they seem okay so far.

I don't think they are poisonous to guinea pigs so they should be fine but probably not something to feed them under normal circumstances :)

Can guinea pigs have bentonite its in the new pellets that we got and I want to make sure that they can have it before I give it to them

You can't put guinea pigs on a lawn sprayed with pesticide as it will seriously harm them.

Hi guinea piggies! Are banana,s and apples good for them? And if so are one of them only good dried?

Springonions are not poisening for guinea pigs that get lots of variety in their dieth, in very small amounts they have extremely healing properties.

As far as I know, cherry stems are not poisonous but not 100% sure. The tomato stems and leaves are poisonous though.

Can they have sweet potatoes?

Yes but this isn't something we give to our piggies as they're quite high in sugar but low in vitamin C

Yes, guinea pigs can eat tomatoes but only a small cherry tomato a couple of times a week is recommended. Leafy green vegetables and safe weeds are what should form the main part of their fresh food portion. Remember that they need hay at all times as this is their main food source.

My two guinea pigs have accidentally eaten BLUEBELLS the grass part of it and they are so so poorly they cannot lift their heads up or walk properly. Feeding them is difficult. They're not even a year old! The vet gavs them a steroid injection and hydration liquid just hoping for the best recovery 😭😭

I'm so sorry to hear this and I hope your guinea pigs pull through. Most plants that come from a bulb are poisonous for guinea pigs. We have more info on what guinea pig's can't / shouldn't eat here www.guineapiggles.com/unsafe-foods-guinea-pigs/

Phew! They probably have a sixth sense and generally know what is bad and what is good but it's better not to take the chance. Accidents do happen though and at least they are ok x

Yes, chamomile is fine for guinea pigs :)

I'm guessing that NORMAL grass is an option for food
