Glad to help
Nice. I actually recorded the air as my room-tone and laid it on a separate track for when I have dead air. Really helpful for audiobooks.

Great tip
Many thanks , Brother.
Would running a mic through a PreSonus Tube Pre into the Scarlett sound better than using just the Scarlett preamps with the air button? I'm trying to figure out which interface to get and it's between the Scarlett 2i2 and the Audiobox 96. I'm leaning toward the Scarlett after watching another one of your videos. I already have the Tube Pre and I'd really like to be able to use it.
sounds great in that case
thank you!
How do I separate outputs? I use a Focusrite Solo as interface. My Presonus Eris, Aston Mic and DT990s are all connected there. When recording, I use the DT990s to monitor my vocals while listening to the beat. Then, I would like to switch the audio output to my Presonus Eris so that I can hear it in actual space. How can I do this without plugging things in and out? What am I missing here? Pls help :))
thanks mate
I’m streaming to my iPhone while djing with turntables and vinyl records. Should I use “air” or “instrument” button?
okay so this may sound dumb but since you explained the high frequency boost with air on, is there a chance that could be why every recording ive done has this god awful hiss in it ive tried to just use edison and take it out but even then it manages to either make it louder or make my vocals muddy after trying to remove the hiss?
Hello, sorry to go in on this video, I'm wondering if you have some advice. I currently have a GoXLR with an m57 for streaming and content. I'm wanting to reduce active desk space on my desk and see if there are any mixers with more than the 4 channels the goxlr has. Thanks, hopefully hear some professional advice soon
Hello how's the best way to connect the scarlet with my RCF external Mixer to go live on TikTok with my Samsung phone thank you

Hi! Is it possible to receive a personal consultation from you?
Nice. Thanks for the clarification - and why didn't they just say all that in the manual! ha

did you turn on 48V mode? it could need more power
So AIR cancels out eq settings on a mixer?
@kettnercreative

It adds to the eq profile.
Hi anyone can help me here. i’m using focusrite scarlett solo ( 3rd gen ) USB audio interface. and my mic was rode nt1 5th generation. i just wondering if I can use 48V & Air. both while i’m rerecording vocals ?

You should always use 48v, your NT1 won't work without it. Air is completely subjective. Some people like it, others hate it.

@@kettnercreative Thank you very helpful :)
why does my buttons stay on and cannot turn them off
I didn’t know thx I don’t remember but I swear it won’t work without the air button lol

The air button is simply an EQ Profile with some analog emulation. It has nothing to do with wether or not your microphone "works".
What happens when you hit air twice?

It turns off
I wish they didn’t bother including the air mode.
So for just talking and playing games should air be turned off

Depends if you want the high frequency boost or not.
