What Does The #1 Ethical Hacker in The World Carry Everyday?

Ryan Montgomery, a professional cyber security specialist and ethical hacker, regularly uses powerful tools to protect himself and others from malicious cyber attacks. While some of these tools may be easily accessible, others require programming expertise to fully utilize their functions, which Ryan adeptly describes. We do not condone or promote these products, but Ryan's expertise in navigating their boundaries and capabilities is noteworthy. In particular, Ryan clarifies the reality of the widely-discussed flipper tool, shedding light on the true potential and risks associated with its use. It is a sobering reminder of how vulnerable we are in the digital age and the need to take proactive steps to safeguard our personal data. Tune in to SRS EP. 056 with Ryan Montgomery to learn some simple yet effective ways to protect yourself.

You can always shoot a dude with a gun. If you don't know what this dude is doing, he could access your network and grab every important file off of your computer, install a key logger and steal your log in information, etc. Without knowledge of what he is doing, no one could stop him. @TrapSquatch what'do you mean? He's got "Scrappy". Surely "Scrappy" is going to keep him safe after going on a podcast with millions of listeners with his real name, real face, city he lives in and admitting that he's the one releasing the names and destroying the lives of thousands of potential evil mentally ill freaks. He could start rolling around in an uparmored Humvee with a .50 cal machine gun mounted on top and I'd still be terrified for his safety at this point. There's a reason the people who do this kind of stuff for a living don't go on podcasts with their real names, faces and the city they live in. He genuinely thinks having some guy that's good at fighting 1on1 fights in a cage is all the protection he needs. He needs to replace "Scrappy" with some armed ex team guys. I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to find some trained killers to volunteer to help you out. He needs to be carrying everywhere and wearing some kind of ballistic protection. It's terrifying to me that he hasn't even seemed to consider how dangerous this is. These are evil people, who do evil things and you're hunting them and backing them into a corner. True life ending, career/family/world ending stuff. People have lost their lives for a lot less. Please consider working with some real security. I don't think the world's best MMA fighter would cut it here, especially in Florida, where a lot of people have firearms. Going on a podcast with your real name, your real face, the city your doing this stuff in. It's actually insane. The fact that the sick freaks you're catching aren't getting arrested or neutralized, should worry you. You're going to release all these names, most of whom you haven't 100% confirmed? That's so dangerous man, not only for the fact that the potential to ruin innocent people's lives but the fact that you just told the world that you're the one who did it and you live in Florida. You're going to instantly become a target. Please be careful. You're doing a great thing but you're acting so wreckless, that I'm genuinely afraid for your safety. Please find some real security. Please get your CCW. Start taking security 100x more seriously. Cause from watching the podcast, it almost seems like you don't even realize how much danger your putting yourself in here.

And he didn’t catch on the guy literally had to ask if he carrys a gun. Who knows maybe he’s so smart he acts like he’s unarmed so the ppl that go to attack him will go easy and be met with deadly force or stopped very easily bc he actually has weapons and guards. Idk. The fact that he never even considered that one of the sick evil dirtbags he goes after might have a weapon isn't comforting. Dude needs to be walking around with a couple of armed operators, instead he thinks an MMA fighter is going to protect him from someone backed into a corner. As tough as this Scrappy person might be, we're talking about true life ending/world ending stuff here, with people who are already capable of horrific sh*t. The best fighter in the world isn't slipping a bullet the way they'd slip a punch. Also the fact that he just seems to catch these dudes and yell at them, is kind of terrifying. Chris Hansen at least exposed them to the world and had LEO involved. That still didn't keep most of them from reoffending. Now he's going on a podcast with 1.3 million subscribers on KZread with his full face and real name saying "this is what I do and this is what I've done. Here's where I'm doing it." Like little brother, do you want to become a victim? People have lost their lives for a lot less.

Him saying "we have a bigger database of breach data to reference than anyone else, I am sure of it" is what started me to take a look at things from a critical viewpoint. Also, this dude has some weird background details he is leaving out - for example, he used to go by the username Ryan Rohypnol (aka the date rape drug)... which is pretty disturbing for someone campaigning as an ally against child sex abuse.

Very awesome video! I personally like the dual use 'Hack RF1' device but my favorite device was the 'TroganUSB' because it exploits human curiosity alongside the stupidity of the average human. As someone who was in IT working with local residents, businesses, and before health issues knocked me out of the game was lead tech at a local school district, I know it's important to educate the public. The more we integrate technology into our everyday lives the more we open our lives up to anyone with the knowledge to access it. Never thought having computers instigated into your vehicle was a great idea. The majority of issues I've ever had since my first truck, which was a 94 Chevy s10, has all been 'sensors'. The mechanical parts of the engine were functioning as intended but the sensor thought it wasn't so guess what, it didn't. Funny how replacing the defective sensor fixed the engine.. so we added the costs of a computer and all of the sensors required to run it just so that we could have more things to go wrong more often? And now with wireless locks, door openers, and everything else for our 'smart lives' we just handed the keys to anyone in the know. And I'm just as guilty as everyone else.. I had several clients ask me "how can we stop it or prevent it from happening again?". I would tell them you have to have a closed network where everything is hardwired so that in order to access the information they would have to be inside to do so. If you had to have something that connected to the outside world that it would be a separate network that could be limited and controlled to prevent breaches of the most sensitive systems and information. Unfortunately that takes time and adds considerable costs under most circumstances. It's just the risk versus reward aspect of life. I do the same thing at my house too. Even though I should know better, I no longer have the physical capability to run all the wires myself nor the money to pay someone else to do it for me meaning I run a pretty extensive wireless network myself because "It's easier". Like your vehicle or your house or anything for that matter every time you add something to make it easier for yourself you make it easier for others to exploit. It's a shame the world is like that but we're all human. For all the pleasant, caring, and giving there is just as much heartless, careless, greedy creatures too..

I have a lot of cool gear a lot of the things he has as well since a lot of it ia buyable pretty easily (such as the rubber ducky "USB" from hak5) What I enjoy about Ryan M is the fact that he talks about this stuff at such a basic level that it comes across as if he doesn't know anything.. which is a sign that he's been around this so long and has had to talk to so many non-technical people that he just constantly talks in the most common denominator.
