Orin Martin: God's gift to orchardists. Thank you, Orin.
Following Orin from France. Thank you for all the straightforward knowledge.
Please do another video on rootstocks in which you discuss which rootstocks do better in which soil types. I vaguely remember that M7 fails miserably in heavy soils (lots of clay). I used to work at Green Mountain Orchards in Vermont and, if I remember correctly, they had an entire row of apple trees (McIntosh?) on M7 and the upland part of the row did OK but the trees on the lower part of the slope where the soil was heavier actually died. So, soil type VERY important when choosing a rootstock for apple trees!
I have a mutsu just because you share your love for them so I added to my collection of now 8 cultivars! Youre the man!
Great video Orin ! Thank You !
Thanks for information about rootstocks orin sir...
Great video, I would love for Orin to tackle the subject of apple rootstock with a more in-depth look at specific rootstocks.

Here's a little more detail on rootstocks: kzread.info/dash/bejne/oH2qo6yrpNDJl7A.html
I wanted resilient trees so I decided to go with vigorous rootstock but Im going to have smaller trees by summer pruning and closes planting. Gonna try backyard orchard culture.
