    Regarding resource partitioning, I presume a larger tree needs more wood to support the tree's heavier weight. A smaller, lighter tree can afford to put more of it's resources into producing fruit.

    Felt odd to not hear anything about the Geneva series of rootstock until the end and even that was a brushing over.

    Yer welcome! The central coast of Calif is too cool and damp for nut trees, so we don't have any experience growing them.
