It also makes ships appear on your screen up to 24km instead of 20

Range of guarantee acquisition. It buffs it from 2km to 3km.

I always thought that it meant the visible appearance of another ship, because normally a ship (all ships even freindlys) dissappears from vision even if spotted by another teammate when at 20km so I thought that was changed to 30km, though I'm guessing the 20% spotting range means it's moved out to 24 which makes sense.

i'm mainly using Target acquisition mod for meme range build on like stalingrad or champagne cuz you cant see target past 20km even when spotted

Spotting range in this instance is the range at which the game will render other ships. If you look at the minimal, sometimes you can see far away ships are shown in a darker color, and if you scan the horizon for them, you won’t see them. The increase to “spotting range” with this mod increases the distance from you where the game will show the ship on the water. It’s only useful if your doing a long range build, primarily for battleships.

Hell no, you always want concealment on your CVs. You are a target priority, more than a DD as a matter of fact. It is therefore important that you remain hidden.

@@carpocolypsenow No, it doesn't. It doesn't affect your airplanes, only the ship itself. And if you don't spot a DD going for you with your planes then 2 or 3km of RGA wont make a difference lol
