What do you mean by 'The future is now'? | J. Krishnamurti

Brockwood Park 1984 - Question #3 from Question & Answer Meeting #2
'Would you enlarge on what you mean by saying that the future is now? Is it that the seeds of the future are contained in the present, or that the future already fully exists on a different time scale?'
---
This channel is managed by the Krishnamurti Foundation Trust, UK, and by the Krishnamurti Foundation of America.
The role of the foundations was described by Krishnamurti when he said, 'The foundations will see to it that these teachings are kept whole, are not distorted, are not made corrupt. They will not give rise to any sectarian spirit in their activities... nor create any kind of place of worship around the teachings or the person.'
We maintain extensive archives of Krishnamurti's original works and all four Krishnamurti foundations are actively engaged in the publication of material in various forms.
Our videos contain thousands of subtitles in more than 25 languages, translated by volunteers from all over the world. If you would like to help us with translating subtitles, please contact us at digital@kfoundation.org

If one is alive... Natural... Without self.. Means without emotional element in thinking....if you are living.. Even if the self is there, no problem... Moment to moment awareness.. Comes you know.. That is what we understood from a real human being... JK

There, where we pay our attention, that grows! When we put our attention just on the present moment we release new life at every instant, we start to live in the eternity .... The mind is only a tool, very useful and very effective, but it is only a tool, it is important to learn how to use it, only when necessary, if we want to connect with the plenitude and meaning of life💗

Have you ever had a problem, a deeply personal problem, not abstract, something that you have maybe struggled with for years. You have even given up wrestling with it. Then, one day, you pick up a book or listen to a podcast and you slowly notice that what you are reading or listening to is sparking connections to your problem. It is verbalising your intuitions, something that you had not been able to do. As you carry on reading or listening, the insights become more important and intense, to the point where your understanding completely changes your view of the problem. You change immediately and forever what you think. Notice also that whilst this process of insight was happening, it was timeless. Also notice that you did not have any ulterior selfish motive. K was constantly trying to get people to engage in the problems of their own lives, he knew that solving a problem completely, embraces questions about the totallity of life. When he talks about time he is standing on the mountain top looking down on the processes required to solve our problems.

@@alankuntz6494 - Yes, K would raise the question - 'Is it not insane to think of your identity as a Belgium (for instance)?'. He wanted human beings to experience their connectedness not their separation - as he once revealed when he saw a workman, working on the road, he had the revelation that he was that man, not literally of course, but empathetically, humanly. These kinds of experience are profoundly personal and life changing. Identities of nationality also apply to religion and political persuasion and other conditioning. Multiculturalism and Globalism has driven a bulldozer through the voluntary, subtle and gentle realization of our connectedness as human beings. It hasn't negated different absurdities of identity but rather has reinforced and applauded patently absurd identities, whilst at the same time violently demanding that we all accept the 'different' absurdities. Along with 'hate speech', 'safe spaces', 'trigger warnings', 'snowflakes' and so on, it has made it infinitely more difficult to come to a genuine, non-pressurised realisation of our human connectedness and has made our societies much less safe in which to experiment with different perceptions.

Life if we imagine like a drum...inside nothingness ie empty...but still sensitive..because when it makes sound...there is a diffrence...if future is like nothingness...it will be so exiting...we will be free from the past ie memories...and time will be there ...but so much excitement..as we don't know what's it will be ..a whole lot of new experience..it will be like born again...

When you and all attachments there is no thought (time). Then there is no fear (time) because you dont holding on anything. Then every new now is non stop future (endless living thing). Not images (which are dead thing).
