  @37:40...the gentleman w the glasses speaks of denying the "I". There is no denial of the I. For if one denies the I...one merely reinforces the false illusion of an I. This is what happens when one thinks one's way into understanding "enlightenment" rather than embracing the DO part. That is to simply die to everything one becomes aware of whether that is so-called perceived distraction or awareness. Just let it all happen as if collapsing on the bed from a very long exhausting day. Do not try to let it happen....it does itself as it unfolds. Then there is true awareness wherein there is the death of the self and the pure of what is and only the pure of what is...😮

  Dnt know why ??? I just find hima as a great thinker/philosopher. He has a contemplative mind , mind of inquistiveness on the depth of life. However I think he is on the path to enlightenment. Either he is enlightened and trying to distort the solid/fundamentalistic/ bias / views to recognize who we already are or he is trying to recognize our true self from enquiring ...??he always has the same kind of discourse.??

  Yes, I just got a very nice used Mercedes. European vehicles are quite fascinating engineering marvels. But if I believe that somehow, someone’s thought of me in it is separate from my thought, trouble begins. Searching within thought’s limitation brings endless desire. Only until one comes to their senses, with great difficulty as the brain is conditioned today, is there freedom.

  K asks, ...Can we hold the energy of beauty as if a vessel holding water?...I say, Yes we can. But we do not do that ourselves or deliberately. This energy of great beauty is "me" as it unfolds. Just as anger is me when "anger is". That's my neurons and body creating those emotions and so on. But pure and tremendous love only arises when consciousness is not. And it cannot be understood through thinking/thought. The very second one starts to think about what is going on in that precious moment (the very moment in which that energy unfolds is itself within the field of mind), then that beauty is instantly gone. It is gone bcz self has entered mind again in consciousness and has supplanted that tremendous beauty w its nonsense of grabbing after and possessing everything through abstraction. That grabbing after is again FEAR. And wherever there is fear, LOVE is not. That is an absolute having no exceptions...😮

  When we act out of selfishness, everything becomes corrupted. It doesn't matter if it's about meditating or helping others. We are doing it to obtain some kind of reward. One must free oneself from one's own selfishness, not by suppressing it or fighting against it, but by understanding the conditioning that prevents us from loving ourselves and loving others. Only an innocent heart is touched by the Truth.

  the author of that question was probably not a very attentive reader of Gurdjieff, since Girdgieff explicitly said that to want to help others is a very confused and wrong goal. The only possible thing to try to attain is to know oneself, to be master of oneself-which is also Krishnamurti's answer here.

  And it is said that the Jews are the most intelligent people on Earth and that they represent the majority of Nobel Prize winners etc. But Einstein and Oppenheimer were responsible for the creation of the Atomic bomb and upon seeing its awesome destructive power Oppenheimer quotes the Bhagavad Gita. As Krishnamurti points out, how can intelligence and the urge to kill co-exist?
