Kawhi already has 2 chips, a Finals MVP trophy and at least another $150 million guaranteed in his pocket. Ever since that dirty Zaza play, he's never been the same. Props to Joel for trying to play through his injuries but he's 30 and realizes he may never have another chance to win a chip.

As much time as Leonard has missed since joining the Clippers and now again injured going into the playoffs and missed a few of the games and the Clippers loss in the first round. I can't believe the front office is happy about him playing in the Olympics, something could happen, and he gets hurt or blows out a knee and he's out half the season or more.

Adam silver didn’t make those rules, the Spurs conceptualized that.. Silver made penalties for such especially when it was a major televised game. Everyone else tried to do what spurs started and did it well mind you, and failed badly. Now it’s abused excuse saying we are resting our key players only for them to be hurt during playoffs.

Resting injured or exhausted players who need a break has become conflated with individual players who abused the system by using the leverage of guaranteed contracts and large paydays. For example, Ben Simmons refused to play for the 76ers anymore and then tried to sue the team to pay his contract. Kyrie Irving took weeks off without informing the head coach, or some of his other antics when he was in Brooklyn. In Kawhi Leonard's case, it's been known that he has a degenerative right knee that has curtailed his career. He also had an ACL tear and a torn meniscus in the same knee. He obviously is going to be on a minutes/games restriction. That's a different situation from players like Simmons and Irving who were finding ways not to play basketball while getting paid.

I don't know why they call Paul George ”Playoff P” unless the P is for piss poor. Nobody's going to leave on their own because every NBA player wants to live in LA, NYC or Miami especially if they're being paid well. As a Toronto fan, we had Kawhi at the height of his powers. We wanted him to stay and run it back but in hind sight I'm glad we aren't married to him. I tolerated him because of how great he was playing but I found him to be a kook - completely aloof. We had built the team to get to this point and we knew we had a shot - this would not have worked in any other situation - it was completely bizarre that Kawhi wouldn;t even be on the bench for the games he was load managing - Lowry, Siakam, Serg, Fred basically plugged their nose and did what needed to be done. I don't think he is a bad guy but he is strange - comes off a selfish. He has his uncle in his year and he is trying to protect a future that is never going to happen - he will never be healthy enough to make it through a long playoff run at this point - his knees are full on shot and I don't think he is a "play through it" type of guy. He's finished - anyone with a big portion of their money tied up on him is in trouble.

Even Toronto he did 60 reg season games its just that he held up in playoffs. He played just enough to get that extension. Paul George comment is someone who is paid well and chip means nothing as his performance is not a leader.

Trade PG13 bring Djounte Murray and Kevin huter... Simple coz u have Murray defensive but can go off... Offensively and shooter.. In shot he plays what kawhi does and they are familiar with themselves on court Or trade russ or James Harden

I never liked Kawhi ever since he sat out an entire season in San Antonio regardless of NOT being injured smh. The league should’ve fined him, suspended him & given him a pay cut. Hes a untrustworthy, temperamental diva smh. 💯

Why would Paul George want to leave? He’s making 50 million, close to his hometown, and can come up short and nothing happens. It’s perfect for a guy who can’t be help accountable by anyone and still get a ton of money.

The Clippers should have not moved to Los Angeles. The Clippers are a cursed franchise. The problem is there is a new stadium. What should happen is the Clippers need to move to Seattle and change their name to the Super Sonics.
