Being able to switch states and 'get in the zone' quickly is essential in the military. But, I've found it to be equally important in daily life. You need to train it consistently before it becomes second nature - when it does it's powerful!

Good effort. I see a lot of fighters in particular using techniques like this to get into the right state of mind.
Mind set is a skill set, great work expanding from your experience, because you have lived it, it resonates

Glad it struck home mate.
I watched this video this morning and I’ve recently started working out and strangely enough also playing the Arkham games. I’m sore and tired and not feeling myself and thought about skipping the workout but part way through the day I remembered this and thought ‘Batman doesn’t skip barbell squats’ It’s so dumb but it helped and if all goes to plan I’ll be on 100kg by next week. Great video even if the concept is a little strange.

Lol about switching on an off lol i was the animal, all the blokes when i was in said i was such a polite nice guy , but when it came to the gun line and switching on i was a fucking animal, i said to the guys , i dont need to screem and shout and fight at the weekends, its all about when needed . Love it thanx Simon grateful for what you do .
Honestly if you don’t have the ability to switch off and on whether it’s in the military or another high stress job, it can add so many psychological effects that could well indeed ruin your life. Also watching social media for 2 hours straight dosen’t help at all especially when most of it is negative.

Good advice and it’s something I subconsciously do , for instance I have 2 pence pieces for counting my reps when training they all have to facing heads and in an absolute straight line , to me each one of them is a medal 🏅 of achievement. Thanks for posting .

Great vid Simon and some Stoic references which I recognise. I find identifying the person who I would look to is difficult and unsure why ? Maybe imposter syndrome! Cheers Dave
@thenaturaledge
9 ай бұрын
Thank you Dave. I would say the fact you have a feeling it maybe imposter syndrome ... it probably is. As a first step try choosing a person that it feels easier to connect with. It's probably why I chose Miko, he's more relatable to me than say an athlete superstar. Secondly start reinforcing your wins to build an evidence bank to combat that imposter feeling.
