Who can relate to point 7?
Help, Support, Trusted Circle. I have nobody! Only people trying to knock me down. I keep grinding through this life anyway. The early mornings, the cold, the darkness, the physical and the mental pain, I do it for myself. If I don't do it, I have nothing.
Love your content. Grounded in experience and not to extreme. Keep up the good work. Thanks for your service to the country. 👍🏻

Absolutely spot on. A brilliant video. The passion for life in Nims just spills over. You can see how much he wants others to also embrace this even through his humble attitude. Thanks for this and all the other uploads, They are great punctuations to make myself pause, and see where I am going in life. They trigger continual assessment and reflection to see if I am still going in the right direction....if not, what and how do I need to amend. Once again thanks for the route markers and reminding us to smile through every day. Carpie Diem, Momento Mori.

Sure. I can definately confirm the principles you summarise are true in training for an endurance event. What‘s important is why we‘re doing these things? I do it because I love it, because I want my kids to have a positive role model & for sports to play a central role in their lives in managing stress 😬. Great channel, really enjoying the content 👌

My biggest issue is one of my own making, literally. Since I left the army 10 years ago ,I started a new family, all those ideas and plans I made and make each day at work are lost as soon as I go through the front door.
@phililpb

It might be worth trying delaying going through that door. give yourself 30mins or an hour after work to get something done before you go home (or get up a little early to give yourself some time in the morning). . It may seem selfish to start with but if you can get yourself to a better state then your family can only benefit

Can you do a video on how to train for selection and how to do nav correctly for the jungle
@thenaturaledge
Жыл бұрын
To be honest you're better off looking at the stuff from Stoic Conditioning or Coach Mike Chadwick. They are the most up to date on what is working and what isn't for training for SF. Map reading is simple .... do as much as you can. The principles are the same in the jungle as anywhere, it's just harder and requires more micro nav and good pacing.
I bet getting that cap badge must've been a amazing feeling tho. I got mine day one of training. 🤣⚓️
secret source? one gret point you bring up (on previous videos) is dont wait untill you are ready to take action. But Im still stuck on overcoming how to ignor the noise (point 5). For me poit 6 hits home. I left the Army and that huge network and found myself very alone. My job is very solitary working alone from a van with the only interactions with people tendig to be very negative dealing with complaints and a social life that is non existant. I need to find away to fix that.

They said that it could not be done, He said, "Just let me try." They said, 'Other men have tried and failed', He answered, 'But not I.' They said, "It is impossible," He said, "There's no such word." He closed his mind, he closed his heart... To everything he heard. He said, "Within the heart of man, There is a tiny seed. It grows until it blossoms, It's called the will to succeed. Its roots are strength, its stem is hope, Its petals inspiration, Its thorns protect its strong green leaves, With grim determination. "It's stamens are its skills Which help to shape each plan, For there's nothing in the universe Beyond the scope of man." They thought that it could not be done, Some even said they knew it, But he faced up to what could not be done... And he couldn't bloody do it!
