Stride length is just a side effect of cadence and form. Context, I'm not a fast runner, 21:30 parkruns. But try this... 10 mins on a treadmill at 10kph.... Feels like a nice, easy pace. Switch it up to 15kph for a couple of minutes..... Feels too fast at first but you get into it. Switch back to 10kph, it feels so slow you may fall over. I've incorporated lots of x800 metre sprints on the treadmill at 95% 5k pace, it's really helping me improve parkrun times

I'm a newer runner so most of my runs are run/walks - that works, too! There's a point where it's faster to walk briskly, somewhere around 8 min/km, and I personally find that I can get down to 7:30/k running but anything slower is more comfortable as a walk. Recently I've been lengthening the run segments while keeping an eye on my heart rate, like the other reply says, and watching my time per km come down that way. Best of luck as you find your own easy pace!

Here's my running at an 8:00/km... just started out tho' haha going on my 5th run today 😅
You made them all look easy 😒
Would be good to add 2:45/km, 11 year park run world record pace. 😉
3:00 per km looks like a sprint for most people… how does someone run at that pace for over a full 10km 🤯

its a sprint for untrained folks. Very slow for trained folks though

По моему надо наклонять корпус вперёд🎉
I wish I can run 3.00/ km in 3k
me with pace 10 be like...
great video, but can someone translate this to freedom units plz? 😎🇺🇲😅
I can do 3:00 but for only 100m 🤣
Interesting. His stride seems to be jutting out a little
New bury park goes faster than 15 minutes 2021 💀💀💀
Knees and heels go higher and faster 6-3:00/km. Longer stride cadence change not so much.
Good pace

Stride length is just a side effect of cadence and form. Context, I'm not a fast runner, 21:30 parkruns. But try this... 10 mins on a treadmill at 10kph.... Feels like a nice, easy pace. Switch it up to 15kph for a couple of minutes..... Feels too fast at first but you get into it. Switch back to 10kph, it feels so slow you may fall over. I've incorporated lots of x800 metre sprints on the treadmill at 95% 5k pace, it's really helping me improve parkrun times
20km/h speed
I just ran 4:00 and 3:40 during my speed work yesterday and I can guarantee I didn’t look anything like that oof 😅
3 min km is the only point that it looks fast 😂. Fastest KM I've ever done was a 3:30 and I can hold that around 2km. How these elites hold faster than that for 26 miles just baffles me!
My 4 min pace looks like your 3 minute pace 😢
My fastest which I am really proud of was a 2:57/km
I'll be proud to even cross a km in 6 min
Sorry if im asking dumb questions, but what does : mean? A dot?
How am I running his 3:00 running form but my pace is only 7:00? 😂

Correct!
Bold of you to think I can do a 30 min 5k that effortlessly 😂
I can't make it look like that though 🤣
When I feel like your 5min/km looks I get a 10:30/km. When I feel like your 6/km I enjoy 13:30 times. Guess you're quite a bit more fit than I am, Mr Olympian
❤❤❤🎉
Still couldn't bear the car in the background
It's hard to read what's at the bottom of the screen with the subscribe button in the way.
His legs are so long....like road to the work.
4:00 / km is already pretty rough.
Depends on height

How to get body moving like that? I have that same problem
I found it interesting to watch video like this. My question is… How do you run slow? You are suppose to run slow 80% of the time but how does it look like…. I mean…. When I try to run slow it become something else then running… But Andy runs beautiful in all speeds!!!

You can train yourself to run slower by working in your cadence and doing heart rate based workouts 😁 it takes time for it to feel comfortable though

Okay why does my 6’00” look like Andy’s 3’00”. Is it because I’m only 5foot2???

Same here, my height limits my speed, 5'1 male 27 years young , but for a PB for 3.1 miles i got a 17.46 which is 5:41 pace but after that, i lay down on the grass gasping for air. This guy is on a whole other level.
5:00 is the physiological limit of the human potential. Anyone running faster than 5:00 is therefore an alien. Source: me
Is this average pace and what is the difference between speed and pace
Didn’t get that seem I need to solve that!?
missed out 4.30, so i dont look too bad !!!
To my untrained eye, there's not much forward lean and some overstriding in comparison to some other elite runners. Do you feel the same way watching yourself from the sideview?
@willmartin5810

8 /km gives me a 40 minute 5k for me
Why this bro looks like in sitting position his posture looks diffrent
I beg to differ, 3:30 per km pace doesn't have enough drooling or snot...
you mean just knee movment but same effort?😢
Paces don't look like that in my world 😂 I wish they did
Now in American? 👀 asking for a friend 🤣
1min/km!??? 🤔 🤭😆
Lol 3 min a k 5k pace is freakishly fast 😂
