History is with the Florida Derby winner, but we all of us still have to wait until approximately two minutes after 6pm on that day. My gut tells me that Sierra Leone is going to show up big when it matters.

Don't trust the hype! 2 yrs old champ are 2 for 29 in the Derby. He gets bumped around good luck! Short price too! Motts other horse might just kick his butt at Saratoga. Watch out for the Bridge!

Fierceness will win if he doesn't get bumped and gets a good start. it all depends on the draw.

No excuses please. A horse with a lot of heart will overcome adversity. If and if Fierceness wins, then he beats good horses the likes of SL, CF, JAT, HM, and some perhaps highly regarded others like Resilience, Encino? FY, DP. The only horse of note he beat was Muth but that was when they were 2 year old colts

Johnny asked repole after fierceness second race if he could ride him for the BC Juvenile and repole gave him the mount over Irad.

@@johnnys4398 thank you for the reply. Just wondering what Irad felt at the time. Interesting that loyalty to the people who work for you was breached. I could understand if there was a conflict on race day. Time will tell if Irad will ride for Repole again

Noted and fierceness worked together it’s on KZread and after the workout Johnny asked Todd and the people at the barn what horse was that and it was fierceness and he asked Todd if he can ask repole if he can ride him. But it’s easy to say now as we know what fierceness is but that was after his no show in the champagne at aqueduct so Irad didn’t know what the horse was but Irad is repoles retained rider.

It is about commitment by your agent or the jockey himself. I did not know the underlying circumstances.

At the Derby distance of 1-1/4 miles, he better start thinking about Sierra Madre coming and coming at him in the stretch. There's no way he will be able to withstand that late assault, for SM closed like a rocket at a shorter distance in his last race, working off a slow pace which was confirmed by the horse laying second throughout the race, finishing 2nd. This race is a full 1/8th mile longer !

You have it completely backwards. The more favourites that win the greater the churn. It's about the churn rate.
