Thank you for your support George Paniagua! We were previous Ford owners ourselves (F-150) before we traded it in for the Tesla, but now that we own a Ford again too, we have no regrets. The Tesla and Ford are very different EV’s, but there’s lots to love about each of them!

😂. Just found your channel today and it’s absolutely great. I love how you show the good the bad the ugly and the outright sexy.

Actually, the 48500 sticker price already includes the 1100 destination fee (its on the right side of sticker). Also, there is nothing mandatory about a doc fee, so that's another 799 (i bought a Mach E last month and was not charged a doc fee). So you actually paid 47899 for it. Still a good deal -- I paid MSRP plus tags and taxes.

I'm jealous, I have to wait to try and buy the red one I reviewed but they're going to knock it down pretty good, close to $50k for an AWD Premium Extended Range! Plus, extended warranty also for it being a "used" vehicle when it's for sale. They have to put 4k miles on it for T&E first! Loved the video, looking forward to more!

Every time I look at a Mach E other than the GT, I want to run it down to a detailer and get a matte black wrap just for that central grille portion. GT grille look with the black grill looks so good...

Congrats on your new Mach E. I order my Grabber Blue Mach E about a year and half ago and was worth the wait. Mine is like the one you showed marked up to 90k. Luckily here in norther CA the dealer I bought mine from didn't mark it up. I got mine for the MSRP of $59k and I love my Mach E.

That’s crazy. Great find. I just got mine last week and my second is on the way delivery between 3/27-4/2. Being honest I think Ford did really well with the Mach-E. Granted charging could be a better experience Tasla has that market cornered. But like I said I love my first one and can’t wait to get my second one.

My #1 question about the Mach-E is how good is the battery range when driving on mountain roads, up and over a summit. It seems that Ford's estimated range is pretty accurate for ordinary highway driving or around town, but how about in the mountains? Have you tried that?

That’s exciting about both options! The $7500 is hard to pass up. I’ve had my Tesla for 2 years and I know people talk about their horrible customer service but I have not experienced it. I’ve lived in two different states and both sides of of the US so I had to use two different Tesla Service Centers and both have been great. Either way, I don’t think you can go wrong choosing either vehicle. Going electric is def life changing!

I wanna see you using the frunk for stuff like as a cooler.

Went with Standard Range Battery which comes with 230mi of range.

I have a 2021 ranger tremor on order right now, and my dealer didn't do any markups. I am paying Msrp for it.

Can you show a video of how the trunk door can be opened and closed automatically using just the key or mobile app

FYi, the dealer shouldn't have charged you anything for the destination fee, as that's included on the sticker price (it's literally on the sticker). The dealer doc fee was unusually high and the tag fee was too. It appears that you actually paid the sticker price. Although, that's still a good deal. However, the law requires the car to be sold at, or below the dealer's advertised price. That's why the website was changed so quickly.

We order the mach e since june 2020, got an email in January that the car will be delivered here in our state by February 22 but till now we still not get it! It’s frustrating! You’re very lucky!

A Ford dealer in Indiana has had a Mach-E sitting on the lot for over a month now. I have never seen anyone even look at it leave lone test drive it. So no wonder you got one at sticker and so easy.

Use it in good health..a couple of items: the doc fee should never be more than $100 but your state may allow more. In NY the doc fee is limited to $95 by law. Secondly, they charged you for destination which is already on the sticker…just sayin’. I have an Audi Etron and love it. Have it two years. Good luck..

There are a few major issues with the MachE but I believe they are all fixable via a software update. Given the tax rebate, limited supply and high demand; you can probably sell it break even in a couple of years once the charging networks for it are better.

I think you made the right decision with the mustang

So I work at a dealer. Our franchise owns a Ford dealer. Dealer Invoice on the Mach E is the same as MSRP. Only vehicle fords done this on.

"This is what the car should be" No! It's whatever you can negotiate. Never pay dealer markup and anything above MSRP.

When the dealer said 6-8 weeks I laughed out loud. They are like 6-8 _months_ out from your order date unless you can find one that was cancelled like yourself. Congrats.

I have an Infinite Blue Premium Mach E4x. Paid MSRP. No mark up or add ons. The customer who ordered it wasn't responding to the dealership. It's a really nice car. I still enjoy my gasoline cars immensely. I traded in my 2020 Honda Clarity PHEV to buy the Mach E. Got top dollar for it. #WinWinWin

Lashunda, back seat is great! My son loves it because he has extra room as well as the glass roof to look out of. It’s bigger than I expected. I was able to fit three car seats (1 rear facing) in the back all at the same time with 3 kids with no issues.

Have you done the research on which charging network to use for long trips? For home, can you tell us how long it takes to charge?

Correct, Tesla’s Supercharger network is off-limits. One day, I’ll try out the compatibility for the Tesla Destination Charger (future vid maybe..). For now, road trips will consist of using the Electrify American and EVGO networks since they offer DC Fast Charging.

Thank you! I would rank the Mach-E around an 85 right now. I absolutely LOVE IT though there are a few quirks but I actually love it a lot more than I thought I would! I still love my Tesla too though just because it’s sooo quick! Price was $50k total so after getting the $7500 incentive, it’s more like $42500.

Flash forward 5 months and the wait is 24+ weeks wait. Lol. The Ford website shows who charges markup. Not all dealers are charging markups.

That is the same story that I got at a local dealer for the one and only Mach E they have that is actually available. Seems very suspicious. They had a $2k markup on it, however. Also, that document prep fee you paid is a markup, in that it is determined by the dealer, and the amount is ridiculous.

I waited for 6 months to take delivery after ordering.

Great story, lucky you ! I got my Mach-e same way. I kept calling dealers all around the town and requested to call me when they have a car is on lot. A dealer 80 miles away calls me on Friday morning that someone backed out of a Premium Mach-e and its mine if I can close the deal today :-) I immediately put a sick day and rushed to the dealer. Now the problem is I had to accept the color that I did not want (Gray Metallic with Light Space Gray interior) (I wanted Red with black interior, its Mustang people :-). But life is never fair to everyone :-). Also dealer had markup of 2K, so I paid around $56,500 out of the lot (in Texas) I am enjoying the car and planning to do a road trip this month.

Congrats again on the new Mustang Mach-E! A couple of things though: I really think you should revise the markup thing you're talking about. When you reserve the Mach-E on Ford.com, it CLEARLY shows if there's any additional dealer markup. If there's any ADM, pick a different dealer from Fords website. Ford is using Tesla's model for transparent pricing. Secondly, Ford's Mach-E dealers are forbidden from advertising the car below MSRP. It's a major no-no and gets them in trouble, plus the profit margin is really slim (esp compared to F-150). That's why they were so fast to update the pricing. Kudos to the dealer for honoring the mistake. FYI- the green Monroney Sticker indicates it's a custom ordered car.

I think that’s the problem though. It’s the same problem Dodge had when they were releasing the Demon. The auto manufacturer wants transparency and advises dealers to not have additional dealer markup, but at the end of the day, it’s only taken as guidance because the dealer will do what they want to do. Unfortunately, most Ford dealers are marking them up regardless of what Ford the manufacturer wants or advises. Agreed on the green sticker. I think all Mach-E will be considered custom ordered until they aren’t hot anymore and dealers are able to order them as stock inventory.

Isn’t the base model premium 47k-1k deposit from original buyer =46k. Am I missing something?

Your missing that the Select trim I was going to order was more expensive and came with less features than the Premium I did buy.

Nice car but a $1,100 destination fee AND $799 doc fee just sounds awfully high. The $2000 in VA taxes was eye watering too. Those three swallow about half your rebate right there. I’ve never paid that much in those fees/taxes for any new car I buy and I get one about every 3 years, last year being the most recent. Guess I’ll never move to Virginia.

Paying over MSRP for any car is just throwing money away. Might as well drive around and throw cash out the window. In a year or two they'll be offering incentives. Also I cringe when I hear it called a "Mustang"! I'm okay with the Mach-E name but find using the Mustang name almost offensive.

Plus, are these cars really saving the environment? What about the environmental output to make the car vs just keeping what you have? What about mining precious lithium to make the batteries? Where does the electricity come from to charge the battery? Nevermind dumping $50K on something that will significantly decrease in value over time. $50K for a car and "bargain" don't go together in my book unless it was some classic car that will jump in value. Michael, your book is flawed because you think your option is fact for everyone. Paying $50k and seeing that as a bargain may not make sense to you but people’s finances vary from person to person which ends up being a great bargain for us. Very few things actually appreciate and we understand this so we are totally okay buying a material item knowing it will depreciate, that’s part of life. As far as the environmental piece, I do not have two electric vehicles because I am a hardcore environmentalist. I buy electric because I enjoy the experience they provide me over typical ICE vehicles. Being more “green” is just a by-product of the type of vehicles I enjoy. Thanks for watching 😃

@@EVandChill I have zero problem with the price and think it looks nicer than the Tesla's. Heck I've got an order in for the new Bronco at over $50K. Touchy about paying over MSRP because I had to switch dealers when the first one wanted to charge over MSRP. I recently looked at the new Jeep Wrangler 4xe plug-in hybrid and now think it might be worth waiting for Ford to have something similar for the Bronco. The Jeep 4xe can only go 25 miles on electric but that will do for most of my daily city driving and then I've got the gas motor for long trips where charging is spotty at best. I'll be curious to see how you like the Mach-E and using non-Tesla charging services.

What about the 7500 discount?

Several reasons to choose this Mustang: 1) Build quality (sorry Tesla). 2) Available in all 50 states (unlike -many- most other EVs) 3) Dealer support available almost everywhere. 4) Overall reviews are excellent for the car. If I didn't already have an EV I'd consider one, though it would be at the very tippy top of my budget.

Agree about the Phone as a Key. Pretty sure it’s a software problem that will hopefully be fixed in a OTA update

I'd buy a Mustang Mach E if you came with the car beautiful. ;)

Qualifies for federal and state..just not my state of VA unfortunately since they don’t do anything for EVs
