“Mach” is tied into the MUSTANG brand! Brand EQUITY is IMPORTANT in the AUTOMOTIVE industry. The move forward to electrician in the AUTOMOBILE will create new equity in BRANDING! This is a “MACH-E! Mustang styling. NOT a MUSTANG! It’s Own equity!

There was alot of investment that went into the name mustang, ford ditching that just to please people is not smart. The industry is moving electric and so all of their brands will turn to full electric...so at some point you'd have an electric mustang. For them to make a competing name as Mach E...you'd need to market that with alot of money for which people already has an idea of what a mustang should bring. Ford would be competing with themselves and also needing to compete with everyone else too. Imo they made the smart choice.

The door handles are a direct copy of Tesla, but a worse implementation. I am highly disturbed by the fact that every other company simply deleted the door handles without asking consumers if they wanted a door handle, just because they saw Tesla selling a lot of vehicles. At least Tesla did invent a flush door handle without deleting the handle completely. Ford's weird push button door handles look incredible annoying. Although the Ford Mach E appears to be an extremely good electric car.

If it was not named the Mustang , We would have been so much more kinder to it

Tesla would win. But I think people are sick of the Tesla acceleration trick. No one buys a Ford Explorer for it's 0-60 time. No one is going to refuse to buy a Mach-E because the 0-60 is not sport car fast.

You can’t beat what you get with this car for the price. I saw it in person for the first time yesterday and I was very pleasantly surprised. Looking to buy one very soon.

Beautiful in Star White. Love how it contrast with the black. Sync 4 is state of art with through the air updates. That is one cool Mustang. 0-60 in 4.8 Premium-X, AWD. Very nice.

Personally, I think it's great! Yeah, there are a few things that should be different. (It shouldn't be called a mustang is one of them) but overall I think this is honestly a really cool vehicle

I think you're right. that Bronco really looks nice. It actually looks like a Bronco. An all electric Bronco would sell like crazy. If the Mach E didn't have four doors, I doubt people would be so triggered, but here we are. Nothing can be done about the name now. Buy it or ignore it. Your choice.

My local dealership actually added 10k markup on a Mach E, nuts. Walked right off and bought a BMW instead

For their first full ev, I'm genuinely impressed. We have to see if it deals with the ford build quality. It shows some tesla inspirations, like with the software UI etc but awesome initial look.

This is not a Mustang It just doesn’t deserve that name

Excellent video guys. Really enjoy you content. I think the greatest threat for Tesla's continued dominance of the EV space is the mainstream manufacturers finally putting their tremendous manufacturing know how into creation of vehicles that feel more normal. Not everyone wants an ultra weird looking Cyber truck. Some people just want a truck that happens to have more torque, looks like a truck and interior feels familiar. Just like these dudes said , you jump in and you feel a sense of familiarity. I do think Tesla will continue to be a force to be reckoned with within the EV space but there is enough room for the Mercedes, Audi and Ford's of the auto world to cash in on what is obviously the future of motoring. That being said some will invariably gravitate to the quirkiness and novelty the Tesla badge represents.

I think this is a great vehicle except for lack of a dedicated charging network. The ioniq is another one that looks awesome. That being said there's no old oem that will be in a position to challenge Tesla simply because they don't have the finances and production and the market is growing way faster too. Agreed though. Tesla's are not to everyone suiting.

Whisper Mode + Cars & Coffee = The carnage would be off the scale!

This was a great review. We're currently waiting on our California Route 1 edition that was supposed to be here a couple days ago. I'm curious how it is compared to this edition. I just know it's not AWD and is supposed to have a longer range.

If we ignore the fact that it’s called a mustang it’s genuinely a way better looking car than Tesla model Y and i think better to drive too

It's still an ugly "Coupe" SUV

Wow that is a real game changer the hole in the Frunk you can use it as a coffee maker. You should’ve taken it to a supercharger and seen your disappointment when it didn’t charge fast. I used to drill holes in the back of my old Mustang to let the water out. I should’ve sold them as an enhanced feature.

Man... I wanted to have one just by knowing it existed, now that you point out that the GT has B&O Sound included I will do whatever it takes to have one... Not whatever whatever, but you know what I mean... Damn car! 👌👌👌

After watching this and Doug's review, this is actually a really nice vehicle. Once people stop trying to hate it, they just might see that.

Alex J.G they used the “mustang” branding trying to turn it into a sub brand and that’s disgusting in its own right. They are using the mustang name to attract the wrong people into buying it and I wouldn’t be shocked if Chevy did the same bullshit eventually.

@@TylerBoyette Making the Mustang a seperate "mini-brand" is a good thing dude. It could mean they could start giving us Mustangs more frequently and not ones that pretty much look the same aside from just a different front end. Saying, "I hate it because of the name" sounds idiotic and simple-minded.

Sav Kvd If you want a different mustang go get a different generation of the vehicle don’t Tarnish the historical aspect of the vehicle I hope this fails as bad as the Mustang II and no I’m not biased on one brand I just think this is stupid from any company I said the same shit about When Ram split from Dodge after Fiat bought the Chrysler Corporation.

At 0:33, this may be a clue that if this cuv abomination of a Mustang was lunched into space - & rightly so, I add, the "GROUND SPEED" on its lcd cluster would shift to AEROSPACE SPEED!

I can see why you would talk down to me for finding "the slap" in the beginning funny "My man". Fortunately I think I can help you out with understanding my comment. Why don't you Google the words "Sarcasm" and "Sense of Humor". Maybe get back to all of us what you found out. I will wait and see what you got out of this exercise that I am suggesting.

Anyone who thinks the name “Mustang” is somehow precious. People with messed up priorities and no real perspective. Also for some reason people who are unaware of 1974.

Guys you’re too young - “whisper” is great - it harkens to the classic movie “Blue Thunder” - a helicopter like Air Wolf; which has “Whisper mode”

I think this is something people would be a lot more comfortable with in stages. A hatchback "mustang" to replace the focus rs but you could get under $30k would be fantastic. A v8 version would be even better and very unique. Then when they introduce the ev it's understandable if they have to lift it a little to accomodate the battery while still keeping the weight low down. Dumb as hell to use the mustang name for everything but I could understand wanting to use the front end across as much as possible to get production costs lower

This is just as much a mustang as the new Toyota supra is actually a supra

I actually really like the simulated engine noise. Considering the Teslas are silent, I think it's a good touch. I know not very many people like this car, but I think they did exactly what they set out to do and did it well. They tried to make an electric crossover feel like a Mustang, and I think they succeeded. I'm not even annoyed by the badge anymore because it still has Mustang performance

I missed what the range was? Also are the rear seats adjustable, slide, recline, fold down
