My dad ran away before I was a year old! I went 23 years of my life without even meeting him once. My grandma on his side reached out when I was 14 and gave me his number. his number was the same area code as the town I lived in. Found out he stayed in town long enough to get a phone but didn't try to contact me at all. Then when I did meet him when I was 23 I got off work late and he was tired of waiting so he left 20 Mins after I got there! Now I have my own kids and I could never treat them like my dad treated me. I remember praying at night that God would send me my dad.

My parents stopped paying for anything when I was 15 and told me to leave when I was 16. Super grateful now. It was how MY life was supposed to go. I had my first kid very young and she stayed home until she was 18 and left for college. I’d totally let her come home any time she wanted. I skated the whole time since leaving home but I took a different industry path. Just happens that the industry I went to operated a lot like the skate industry. Grateful for the experience and glad to have a more chill life now.

honestly for the longest time i thought it was just because when they were both at braille carlos was unanimously considered the best skater at braille and nigel was always #2. and i thought it was a petty jealousy thing and then nigel would try to compensate by being the loudest guy in the room (only rivaled by gabe) but after seeing the interview he did with lamont a couple hours after it came out i'm not so sure. and to be fair i like and respect nigel, but carlos never gave me any indication that he's the type of person i would dislike so i have no reason to change my opinion until the facts change.

He to my knowledge has never done anything malicious towards someone or hurt anyone, he served in the military, he's a great skater, and he's a reasonably successful entrepreneur. If the worst thing he has going for him is his passionate nature causes him to be loud sometimes, i can get behind that. there are way worse things someone can be than loud. Gabe i'm indifferent towards, and aaron no because of his affiliation with scientology. Nigel, however? Yes, absolutely.

Of course anywhere you go there will be behind the scenes drama.

They also brought him back at some point, it really seems like whatever he did couldn't have been too bad. Fetty was just outright erased from existence after his scandal, there was no announcement and I don't think they've even mentioned his name in any videos since we was cut. Regardless of how people feel about that situation it at least sets the bar at "whatever Carlos might've done isn't as bad as dating an underage girl," which seems like it clears most of the SA-related speculation. Unless we get more information I'm just going to assume Nigel is either personally insulted or hurt by something he did (could be as big as the money thing, could be as minor as being jealous that everyone talked Carlos up over him) or is literally just making up a story for attention. Which is a shame since I also really like Nigel, but you can't say "everyone should hate this person because of a secret thing, but I'm not going to reveal the secret" and expect to be taken seriously.

@@R0B690 True, I also got some weird vibes from Chris leaving (and a bit before that too, like he seemed oddly absent during that big road trip even though he was literally there, it's like he just kept to himself the entire time). Mo said Chris just wanted his privacy back though and while that could be a cover story I trust Mogely more than anyone else to just tell people what's going on. So it might be a mix of things there but I think at least part of the "no big announcement" aspect is just that he didn't want them to do one. He doesn't seem un-personed in the way Fetty was.

Ok boys so i went fishing and actually got carlos lastras comment on it. I commented on his instagram about it and he replyed. He said that him and nigel used to bump heads at work. That they were cool for the first year then things went south so he moved on.

I wonder if Nigel's bound by some contract at Braille where he can't say the specifics, or isn't sure if saying the specifics would get him in trouble with Braille. While in the video he talks about some honest takes about working with Braille and how they don't always help their workers financially and stuff, he does speak highly of Braille for what they've allowed him to do, what they've done for the skate community, and how much he loves everyone on the team like a family. So while he criticizes some things of Braille, it's obvious he still wants to be a part of it (just wants to help improve it to be even better I think), so he might just not want to say too much detail for fear Braille would cut ties with him. Especially if Braille helped sweep something under the rug in regards to Carlos Lastra so that Braille wouldn't look as bad. Which as shitty as that would be for Braille to do, like was already said, they already dealt with Fetty and that court case (which that is something I've heard so many different sides about on whether Fetty was intentionally nefarious or if he was actually in the dark about certain stuff) so they probably didn't want it to look like they were intentionally hiring all these horrible people. As a company, you have to judge people's character based on interviews and how they act on the job, and if people are doing unforgivable stuff in their free time, people will judge the company even if the company had no idea it was going on. If that's the case, it would have put Braille in a tough spot. I don't know, these are just my wonderings on the subject I guess.

Personally, I could care less that AK is a Scientologist as long as he's not spouting that BS on the video, and everyone who has every worked with him has said he keeps that in his personal life and never mixes it with Braille or anything. They all say he doesn't even talk about it. He doesn't try to indoctrinate kids into it, so who cares? People talk about supporting Scientology in the slightest is so harmful like Scientology's the only group of people doing shady stuff to keep their names clean and to keep their power. Yeah, they do horrible stuff, but so does any big group like that unfortunately, doesn't mean everyone who follows the belief system agrees with everything the institution does.

I really don't think theres anything crazy going on except that braille sucks and it probably sucked to work there. If the situation was really that serious then why would you have a big smile on your face and laugh while you tell us you have serious information. Do you mean Chris McNugget? If so, there was a video where Mogely (before he left Braille) stopped skating to address the camera and said that McNugget was doing great, he had just moved to a farther city in California for a job and was planning on hopefully coming back to Braille sometime in the future when the job was done. Mogely also said something about how no one else at Braille cares enough to talk about McNugget on camera but that he was doing very well and they all miss him, which sounds a little sketchy but just sounds like Chris is doing his own thing.

This is a really interesting video, I'm glad this came across my home page. I've been watching Braille for many years in different spurts, probably starting back to 2017. I've always thought Nigel was a complete CLOWN. He's a decent skater compared to everyone else but he's always come across really dramatic and cringy. I support Carlos after watching John Hill's video and that video made me recall all the absolute crazy shit he did for content while under Braille. The clarification I heard was that it was something Carlos deserves to be in jail for and that everyone would think differently if they knew. I never liked Carlos and he always gave me the vibe that he shouldnt be around kids. Or that he might have sticky fingers. But I also have a weird view of braille and revive in general. Its strange to take a bunch of guys not good enough to be pro or am, turn them pro and make it seem like theyre the greatest ever. The guys who have stayed at Braille have no actual style. They can land tricks but they look too stiff or uncoordinated. Ricky is skilled but his big ass feet barely stay on and some of his falls dont make sense. Nigel is my favorite but the dude lands so stiff that he falls when he shouldnt. Glo has decent style but its all close to the ground stuff. Uzi is cool and makes tricks look good when he tries. Cant say anything bad about JD, the kid kills it. But none of the rest compare to actual Pros. Theyre just good at the 5 tricks each pick to be their thing and theu can kickflip random things with trucks on them. Im not hating because I still watch, just saying. Mcnug and mogley actually had real style and left for greener pastures. Anyway Carlos always rubbed me the wrong way, he always had an ego and thought he was or should be the best. And hed waste hours on tricks no one cares about. I get that it takes all types but i dont want to see some weird cross foot manual or any of that. And the fake nice was annoying. No one is that nice. Vinnie mightve suffered financially but he made the right choice never joining the team.

But if you're arguing that they're as good as professional skaters you need to do some homework. There's a reason none of the actual good guys skated for revive or braille, their career would go nowhere. And braille has a habit of dumbing down the ones who can actually skate well. They just pump out mediocre videos, no care about actual skateboarding, even though they claim to love skateboarding. To me Carlos always came off as a great guy, he was the best one there showing off actual skateboarding but of course we dont know the full story.

They're still creating new skaters everyday and have done more for the "sport" than anyone else since like 2016. But we're all watching it to be entertained, like what random bullshit are they gonna kick flip today. I think Braille lost the plot after Aaron put employees on hourly and stopped paying as well, while also donating over $1mill to Scientology. Everyone behind the scenes at Braille that runs it on a daily basis are Scientologists and have donated tens of thousands of dollars. It really seems like the channel exists now to pay a "church" to get wisdom from an ancient alien. The hourly pay makes sense for people like Uzi who barely show up, never on time and put in minimal effort but doing the same thing daily would get boring and paying less isn't gonna make him show up more. It's a weird situation. Creating a company to turn yourself pro is weird too. And I can admit Carlos is better than most of the rest. But a lot of his tricks were just weird. Same with mcnug and his weird manuals everywhere. But I can agree that alot of the guys disliked him because he was better and got more attention. Although Nigel doesn't seem like the type to dislike someone for no reason and I'm betting it's pretty bad. Nigel still talks to Fetty after what happened so it's gotta be worse than that.

Watching the videos with nigel and carlos you could see nigel bullying carlos plenty of times. So it could be that nigel is just an upset bully but again we have no idea what is really happening. Nigel should jave just kept his mouth shut or just say what his issue with carlos is instead of these vague statements.

Flat out saying exactly what he has done will absolutely change the entirety of how you guys view him and how Braille handled it. I’m not out here to cause issues or make up false shit. It’s just a situation that when this info comes out changes a LOT for everyone involved in my opinion. Accountability is everything tho so be sure more information will come to light. I would of gone to war for that dude just like I would for anyone I consider a good friend. We were always cool up until his issues started to get serious. I lost a lot of respect for Nigel when I watched this interview. To me when a person says “oh if you knew what I knew you’d hate this guy too, I could totally drop a bomb right now but I’m not going to.” it seems like they actually don’t have a bomb to drop at all. It strikes me as him not having a very good excuse for how strongly he hates someone, so he goes on a rant about how he usually likes people and it takes a lot to make him hate someone, all to assure himself that he’s right to have such strong feelings. If I had to hazard a wild guess, he probably just butted heads with the guy and it got to him over time and he built up resentment. I agree that is Carlos really did some seriously screwed up stuff, we’d actually hear about it, people wouldn’t be keeping quiet for no reason if they knew something horrible. With how negatively Nigel seems to feel about Carlos, I get the impression he’d actually love to know some awful thing he did to justify his hatred and wouldn’t skip a beat in airing it out.

The thing about Nigel... he is a Black guy. He is naturally close to be a diva. And a lot of competetive situations. But Carlos is a lost soul. I guess he upsets nigel by doing something that nigel witnessed! And nobody else. And carlos decided to leave, to secure the Peace. And Nigel also. (I comented alot under some Vids, that Nigel is quite rude against carlos... and carlos never responded to that! he was always calm about it! And it started maybe 3-5 month bfor carlos left. So i guess, something happend! Watch the clips, and you will notice the change of behavior by Niggel J!
