What Causes Thyroid Problems

Ойын-сауық

There are food groups where substantive evidence supports a link to an autoimmune disease of the thyroid that slows down your metabolism.
Gluten is one of them. You can simply eliminate gluten from your diet for three weeks. If your symptoms go away, you have a clue that your system might not like this food. If you want to take this self-test a step further, reintroduce gluten into your diet and see if your symptoms recur. If they do, that is another major clue.
Besides certain foods and food allergies, toxins can slow down your thyroid. Testing yourself for mercury and getting it out of your system and your environment becomes crucial.
Lastly, it’s also super important to make sure you’re getting in key nutrients for healthy thyroid function. Being deficient in selenium, iodine, zinc, vitamins A and D, and omega 3 fats can also cause thyroid issues.
And if you’re still experiencing issues, you might want to work with a medical practitioner to pinpoint the root cause.

So nice to see someone talking more about this! Living in a home with black mold/mycotoxins really messed up my thyroid. Quitting gluten, among many other things, had really helped!

Mycotoxin illness can cause major vitamin & mineral deficiencies, so using supplements was big. Fasting and using a good binder, like charcoal or pectin, is essential. Elizabethkollerer, they aren't taught it in med school, for one thing, and at least New York State will look askance at any prescriptive use of vitamin and mineral supplements outside of oncology. I was told this by a respected physician administrator at a very large teaching hospital in Central New York. I'm not sure, but I suspect there is a similar state of affairs in Washington State, given the harrassment of Dr. Jonathon Wright near Seattle. A brilliant researcher lost his license to practice medicine in New Jersey for not wearing the intellectual straitjacket of that state's AMA powermongers, I was told. Hal Huggins, who wrote "It's All in Your Head" regarding the use and potential impact of mercury amalgam dental fillings, blew the whistle on the ADA, and they sued him for practicing medicine without a license. Because he did what the MDs would not: he tested his sick patients for mercury toxicity. He saved three lives that I know of personally. So he now runs a highly respected clinic across the border in Mexico. I'm sure there are other courageous souls I haven't learned about who've stood up for truth and service.

Notice when you show to someone the possible causes for their thyroid problems and because they love pizza and cakes and bread, they say " my doctor did not tell me its from gluten, so...i will let him remove my thyroid, take pills all my life but keep eating what i love" . Weakness and cravings are more powerful for them than the truth. They refuse the truth, even when they know they are harming their own health.

For those of us who get slaughtered when we take iodine- I’ll add just eating some Japanese food, a little fish and seaweed, some good potatoes grown in rich soil, is a good way to softly elevate levels. And use essential oils diffusers with something like clove oil to kill molds you can’t reach, and yeah… sadly, lose the gluten.

Why do you suppose med schools do not include any nutrition in the curriculum? Can it really be so dark as financial interest in pharmaceuticals??

I started supplementing with lugol's solution a week ago, I'm 22 and haven't felt this good in 6 years, it's very weird how iodine is seemingly solving some of my ailments, especially my cognition it's unbelievably clearing my brain fog and pre depression, I must have been iodine deficient, in fact I think iodine has become more important than any other trace mineral, because it literally exists in non trace amounts in the body.
