I took a new job and it's weird I have calluses now in places I never had before. Bottom of my palms, sides of my fingers etc.

I'm forming a callus on my palm from my daily abuse by a very tough door handle... it's so painful

😂😂😂😂😂😂 I'm so sorry to be howling at your pain . I have callus on my feet but it know what it is I just wanted to understand more about how/why the bodys mechanism produces more proteins on top of the pressure of skin and accidentally make rough skin from just protecting itself. Didn't expect to find myself here 😂

Used to have it during my national service due to the uncomfortably boots and also daily pull ups

Got corns under the toes from physical labour work over the years just to make ends meet lol

Why build up? What protection? What decides the position? Random occurence right? What is random here?

he says in the video, it thickens to protect itself against skin injury. it isnt random, its just different for a lot of people whos feet are different shapes.

i have an incorrect gait.......which is the cause in my situation............i have to constantly be aware to watch that i walk heel to toe......................toe to heel

Same I have a neurological disorder brown sequard syndrome left side weak with drop foot, right side strong but numb. The strong side I have callus on my heels and big toe. Weak side smooth as babies bottom but it swells.. F my life.
