    How old are you? Do you think a 55 year old man that'cant touch his toe's but can get up to 30 pull-ups in one set and 30 archer push ups so is reasonably strong could learn these moves via an online course? Wot do you think 🤔? Time's running out the grave awaits.

    KKKKKKKK, also ill update with channels when I've found more. I like some animal movement channels but have to test and spend more time watching. Also listen to a video called" bruce lee philosophy" , or something that pputs you in a similar meditative space. The good thing about meditation if you don't have a coach is that you can be more introspective and be more of the voice at the that a coach can be. Whilst still being present in your movements. Its honestly a hack if it wasn't so peaceful. Itsll make you ask better questions and be more logical and more focused. Then meditate while moving and then wafflewafflefalafe...you've found, the ZONE. And now all your mental blockades of what you thought were possible are gone and the only thing limiting you is you're literally body, anatomy and gravity or whatever. ok now I'm done. Fun, fun ,fuck and good luck.

    Incredible progression Tim. 👍👍 How about shoulder health and avoiding damage/tear/tiring the rotator cuffs etc.? Do you strengthen them through accessory work after the session or will the handstand be sufficient for shoulder health? I want to start handstanding but I'm afraid of my rotatorcuffs/rear shoulder muscles aren't fit to this.

  • @TimBelchamber

    @TimBelchamber

    j dj I did a lot of training, some of which included shoulders. However this wasn’t specifically for handstands. If you follow the proper method, handstands can be scaled to any level. I’d suggest having a look at the video: terrible cartwheel. This can be found for free in the Handstand Toolkit (link in bio).

  • @Matthewismith

    We did work the rotator cuff musculature (Cable and DB's at varying angles) but for reasons other than handstands. I haven't assessed you personally, but you're likely to be over thinking it (assuming no previous injuries here).

  • @TimBelchamber

    @TimBelchamber

    4 жыл бұрын

    Sbjct Thank you. I was training approximately: 1-2 hours a day of handstands My weight training with matt was a 5 day split: 3 days training, 2 days rest. Each session was 1-1.5 hours and aimed to improve all the weak links that were identified in my assessment. I also trained with my calisthenics society, for an hour a day around 5 days a week, but took it easy with them and often practiced Matts training. Improved flexibility came from increasing the strength in my end range of motion rather than passive stretching. I’d been stuck with bad flexibility for years even with stretching regularly. I now have front splits (post warm up - bit cold yet) and am a few months off side splits.

    Flexibility is highly nervous system dependent and can, but not always, respond very fast to loaded/ballistic/etc methods. Not passive stretching. Tim also greased the groove with handstands, so you're looking at multiple sessions per day near daily. He worked hard, very hard, and simultaneously responded well.

    shankar pv this video is highlighting the results, not the majority of the training. I was on a strength training program that predominantly involved the use of weights. The phase I did during this video was focused on improving my weak links (identified in his assessment of me) that were a bottle necked my progress in the body weight moves I was after at the time.

    There is no perfect diet for everyone unfortunately. I wish there was. If you're serious, start with comprehensive blood testing and then pay an expert (who actually produces results) to go through the results with you. That'll give you a solid starting point, it's not free but will put you in a better place than followong random crazes and hoping it lines up with what your body actually needs.

And I can do backflips, frontflips and sideflips, 20 pull ups in a row, 50 push up, horizontal, and stuff like that, I push 100 kg on the bench, I can make muscle ups 5 in a row, I can hold flag (ON BOTH SIDES), handstand near 30 seconds.
