What Arrogant, Manipulative Sibling Jealousy Looks Like - Logan Paul’s Jealous Rage Against Jake

What does sibling manipulative jealousy look like with Logan Paul as our psychological subject?
As you may know, Logan Paul is the older brother of Jake Paul, who has been focusing a lot on boxing retired MMA fighters. Anyway, you may remember that Logan also did some boxing many years ago but lost to KZread star KSI, and you may also recall that he basically pretended to fight Floyd Mayweather in an exhibition boxing match; however, recently Logan found that he’s a much better fake fighter than a real fighter. Sorry to break the news to you kids, “wrestling” is fake.
After Jake Paul won another boxing match against another retried MMA fighter, Nate Diaz, Logan invited Jake onto his podcast to apparently milk his younger brother’s recent win for himself. However, what was psychologically curious was how jealous Logan Paul was of Jake for being better than him at something. So, we’re going to break down Logan’s curious psychology and behavior, along with body language, to reveal what an angry manipulative jealous sibling looks like, so you can possibly recognize it in your own life. Now let’s get started.

Said it when it came out and I’ll continue to say it… Shane Dawson did that sociopath series on the wrong Paul brother, look at the way Logan interacts with other people his eyes, his mannerisms he always struck me as someone with an ego hidden behind a smile. Jake wears his pride and ego on his sleeve, Logan hides it but showcases his true character when confronted.

Jake is just a bit arrogant and self aggrandizing, but that is pretty common for a successful young man. Logan is on some true sociopathy. His facial expressions are manipulative, and his “support” for Jake has always been self serving. Jake was literally crying when KSI beat Logan. Logan was scowling when Jake beat Diaz. They both have some narcissism issues, but Logan has a clinical issue that probably won’t be fixed and will lead to his destruction, while Jake is at least somewhat growing as a person and maturing and learning humility and respect. Logan’s crash and burn is going to be tough to watch.

I would definitely cut ties with a sibling that's done that to me. In fact, I have. My older sister, despite being married and I'm not, has deep psychological issues that I chose to address in my life and cope with. She likes to throw the fact that I "didn't get my L's fast enough as her" and that "she has a job she hates doing while I'm getting qualified for a job I want to like doing" as an excuse to attack me. Yeah sure, "she's family", like my mother likes to bring up all the time, but sometimes, you gotta ditch blood for your own well being.

I had/have a sibling rivalry with my younger brother. Since we were kids, it always felt like he was jealous of me, or that he thought he was better than me. We fought constantly over petty things that he would make a big deal out of. Every girl I dated, he would chase after or date them after we broke up or even try to sabotage my relationships because he was jealous that I was dating and he wasn't. He would disrespect me in front of his friends and bad-mouth me behind my back. Ultimately it became too much and I severed ties with him because I just got tired of fighting with him all the time. I've never truly felt like his "love" for me was real, so I decided to go separate ways and enjoy my peace in his abscence with no regrets. Jealous sibling rivalry is real and it can happen to anyone.

We might find stuff he does foolish but as long as he doesn't he won't mind it's when he can't manipulate the situation in his head to make himself feel better

Yeah he is physically superior but physicality isn't everything in boxing. Logan just isn't a natural boxer. Jake is. It's the same as KSI and Deji. KSI sucks and always will where as Deji is shockingly good with far less training.

Logan wants to be the center of attention in every single thing he does. Normally that's why you have a team around you. That way they can cater to you and you can be the center of everything. Like the sun. But Logan wants everything like that. Jake seems to have grown up alot and become a very decent human.

I would try to get revenge honestly. Just because Logan is such a bad person, I would rather try to ruin his life with a fake smile on my face and make him doubt my loyalty the way Jake is now questioning Logan’s love, than just cut him off. He deserves worse than losing a brother he hates, he deserves to be in a prison cell. If I was Jake I would keep my enemy close and do everything I could to make sure he ends up in federal prison for the rest of his life.

She would constantly put me down, belittle me, would down play any accomplishment I did but would follow it up with you could do better. I just know you are better than what your putting out. I 100% had to cut her out of my life I don't even have her number. I see her maybe two or three times a year on holidays. It's sad and it breaks my heart considering we were so close growing up. But it was what I needed for my mental health.

As an older brother, of course I know about sibling jealousy - siblings always compete at some level - but it ought to ease up with maturity. I know my brother was often adversely compared with me during school years, but we followed different paths and undeniably he's had a more interesting life, even if materially he has less to show for it. Time will tell who got it more right / less wrong as we go through middle-age, but whatever happens I'll always have his back and hopefully he mine. Am I jealous of his breadth of experiences? Well, everything comes with a price tag and I'm not jealous of his problems - life is what you make it. The bottom line is that (with maturity) siblings ought to recognise one another's relative strengths. With Logan and Jake Paul it seems as though they're tramping down the exact same road (with big brother always trying to be the one who makes the first footprint on every step) and the lack of differentiation means they can't get this perspective. Probably the only way to sort them out would be to put them in a boxing ring against one another - the result could not be disputed. If either of them demurred, then they'd have to concede that they don't hate one another quite enough and do understand how things would probably turn out in the event of such a bout. Glad I have no interest in either of them!

He clearly didn’t like Jake getting more shine in real combat sports. He knows Jake is a better boxer but he doesn’t like that Jake or Paul brother fans know that too. I personally am not a fan of them but Jake is definitely a better person as well as a better brother.

i just have a really quick question so at 2:02 where logan says "you have been going hard jake" you said thats logan trying to stop jake from working so hard so logan can surpass him, but is that really logans intention or is that something the human brain just does because they have the feeling of jealousy and say those things without realsing the effect it has on the other person? so can you blame logan for not realising his feeling or he knows he is jealous but is deciding to hide it?

It's actually crazy how much better Jake is at boxing than Logan. It's genuinely not even close... Even though Jake lost to Tommy handily, Jake still proved he belonged in that ring with a legitimate professional boxer like Tommy. Jake graduated from KZread boxer to genuine beginner boxer, whereas Logan never became anything more than a losing KZread boxer.

It made me question the relationships I had with some of the "friends" or "cousins" I had growing up. Watching this solidifies that I took the right decision by cutting ties with them, even when it was difficult, especially regarding the family ties. If anyone has book recommendations that delve deeper into understanding the human psyche, I would be greatly appreciative. Kudos to the creator for such an insightful piece!

I'm not a religious person but the biblical story of Cain and Abel comes to mind. If I may recommend Dr Jordan Petersons biblical series lectures specifically the one about Cain and Abel. He really dives into the deeper meaning being the stories that is not from a religious perspective but rather a tool used to pass down the cumulative wisdom and life lessons gained from the previous generations before a written language even existed.

As a wrestling fan, I think the word pre-scripted is a better term than fake. They say fake you’re implying that these guys never get hurt or anything. That is certainly not the case. That said, it’s funny how cats like Logan Paul and Ronda Rousey tend to turn to pro wrestling, when they can’t seem to cut it in the world of actual competition. At least Rhonda can say she had some success. Let me quit lying, she had a lot of success. I got to give her that. Logan Paul didn’t even have a quarter of the success she did. But once they both failed at those attempts, they turn to wrestling where the outcomes are predetermined.
