    I'm an atheist and I always try to tolerate other people's religious beliefs especially if they are moderate practitioners of faith. But one thing I can't stand are religious fundamentalists who try to force their beliefs onto others. 😒

    Nothing wrong with being religous. I know and work with them, all good people luckily and if on topic can share my opinions usually without receiving an angry or frustrated look. It would be hard and probably unfair to judge somebody about something they are born as anyway. We all have our good and bad in any group. I was just trying to speak to the fact people are shunned, disowned and in some places persecuted and killed for questioning Gods existence or choosing another one. It's just ridiculous if we think what we are fighting about. Taking old scripture as evidence in many cases. Trusting in prophets who really compared to us had not a clue how things worked, could have had severe mental issues, a bad mushroom trip when they "spoke to god" or likely were just manipulative people. Ofcourse we don't know. I never thought some pretend god(s) we couldn't see evidence of or lack of belief in one was worth hating someone over. Too long... Oops

" I was just trying to speak to the fact people are shunned, disowned and in some places persecuted and killed for questioning Gods existence or choosing another one. Second , you said those prophet didnt know how things work because you expect them to follow your rule , your mindset,.... meanwhile thats the exactly the opposite of what they are meant to do , you are told to follow the One who make everything exist (of course this come to debate about existance of God , but thats not the point of this discussion ) , rather to follow your body , your hearts , or your ideology , mindset etc "could have had severe mental issues, a bad mushroom trip when they "spoke to god" or likely were just manipulative people. Ofcourse we don't know. " When this prophet talking about something that out of this world , and claiming it is true you better ask him , is this your theory? if he said yes , then he is philoshoper , no prophet is philosopher ... for example buddha , he is more of philosopher than prophet... If he said the other person told me , then of course he is not the prophet, if he said this is what God told me ... then it has three possibility , either he was liar , people with psychological issues , or he is saying truth... I found in my research that he was not liar , or even mentally sick people (this is what his people accuse him with tho haha) , SOME people accuse him with those label , because they "enter the house through the back door" i mean they learn about the law , before even learn about God , meaning of Obeying the creator of all things etc etc or they just of what he teach , his people hate him when he reject , deny , defy paganism. about me i believe in it firmly , I KNOW IT "I never thought some pretend god(s) we couldn't see evidence of or lack of belief in one was worth hating someone over. "if two groups fighting each other , dont take the sides or takes new side or create it , it just make you feel more true" ... liberal or conservative fighting each other , lets become apolitical or be centrist so on and so forth. thats the problem ...Thats because you are too lazy to decide which sides is true ... i mean some people , talking about how great our mind , yet they are too lazy to find which one is true... so they choose a side that makes them feel safe or ease ... your mentality is ... im really sorry ... sheep mentality or herd wtv . that is why people in their song or slogan or stories keep telling about future future , better future, new , new ... because everything in the past is always going at each other or deemed inaccessable , im not talking only about medieval era .... or they always condemn past becuase we are not in the past rather in present , so in order to make the present is better is deemed the past as bad , and present as okay... and to make ourself even feels more better , we deemed our future as best ... just think something other than ours is bad to make ours is better , and think something we may get later as better to make us work , stagnation is boring to human nature , thats it . you can find it in everyday lifes... Anyway people didnt think something is true or think something is wrong because they bring their needs or idol , bias in , i mean like , you decide which religion is true based on how peaceful it is , or based on how it could progress the human being , or that can created the better place , because based on that’s why your statement " thats why there are so many civil wars and stuff" is wrong.... it because we have different value , we love and hate , you and i ... but our version is different , its just our core belief is different , hence our good and bad is different... i dont obey my human nature in an extreme level like you

    To be an atheist in Saudi Arabia is the worst. I have to pretend to be a Muslim every day. I wish I could reveal the truth about who I am and what I believe in and live freely. Edit: some clarification.. It is true that there is a penalty for leaving Islam in Saudi Arabia, but it never applies. The government leaves you alone on the condition that you don’t offend or say anything about the Islamic religion, anything that might upset the people. (In fact, the government these days has changed a lot of laws and is trying to change other laws as well, and trying hard to change the thinking of some extremist people. But people are still hard to change). So, my greatest suffering is with the community, because it never accepts you. If you declare that you have left Islam, you can lose everything your family and friends and you will be ostracized. They will fight you in every possible way, you will never feel safe. You just can’t be different. -Why don’t I leave for a western country? I wish💔, but it is not that easy. Finally, I would like to thank all those who sent me positive comments, thank you so much guys. It means alot to me.♥️♥️♥️ I hope that the day will come when the non-Muslim or non-religious becomes acceptable in Saudi Arabia and Middle East in general. Thank you again guys thank you so much.♥️♥️ (Sorry if there is some mistakes my English is not that good).

    I think that the reason for the Czechs to be so non-religious is the fact that their historical leader Jan Hus, himself a priest, was so brutally killed by the Catholic authorities in 1415. This initiated a long struggle for national identity and independence, that lasted 5 centuries. The memory of Hus's fate is perceived as Church's betrayal, enough for the Czechs to keep the catholic church at bay. Many in Poland followed Czechs' example for some 100 years establishing a progressive movement, called "Arianie",. This movement was unfortunately crushed by the Church, just establishing Church's power over the minds of the Polish people.

    Most atheists don't believe that any god doesn't exist. We can't prove that therefore the position is "I don't believe in any god or gods", which is different to "I believe there is no god or gods". When you say "there is no god nor gods", you have the burden of proof for that statement. "I don't believe in any god or gods" doesn't have a burden of proof, other than maybe refute arguments made one way or the other. Someone tells you "A, B, and C, therefore god", you tell them "no, because of this and that" and you refute that argument but didn't prove there is no god, just that that argument was invalid. Saying that "there is no god nor gods because no one can prove them" is a fallacy, an argument from ignorance. As is the other way around "you can't prove there is no god" ("I wasn't trying to" should be the answer) "therefore god exists" is ALSO an argument from ignorance.

  • @danielortman2534

    That is called Agnosticism. Also, there are different reasons for atheism. Some go out of there way to say that there is no higher power and wind up falling to the same close-minded traps as the religious people they make fun of. Others firmly believe that there is no God because they strictly only believe in the probable, which is actually a big problem in some fields of science where you need to think outside the box, but also lets them not stretch the meaning of their conclusions.

  • @robinsuj

    @robinsuj

    5 жыл бұрын

    That's not Agnosticism. Agnosticism answer the question "Do you know whether there are god or gods?" If you say "no" then you're agnostic, if you answer "yes" then you're gnostic. Atheism answer the question "Do you believe in God (or Allah, or Thor, or Ra, or Quetzalcoatl, etc)?", and there are 3 answers: "yes," "no," and "there is no god or gods". Most atheists (myself in that group) take the second option and say "I don't believe in the existence of any god or gods", which again is NOT the same same as "I believe there is NO god or gods" (a position which could be called "anti-theism") and THOSE people have the burden of proof to effectively prove that "there is no god (or gods)", a burden of proof comparable (or heavier) to that of theist. I'll refer you to Cosmic Skeptic or Rationality Rules for more info.

    no evolution is not a fact. See there are people who can be educated then there are people who are born thinkers. Most can be educated some cant and top can think for themselves. Evolution is statistically impossible. creation by randomness is not possible the number is like 1/ infinite virtually. A belief is anything that some believes. How many times has science said something in the past Like Newton only to be corrected by Einstein? So at the time they thought it was 100% fact but then we find out later they are wrong. So then it wasn't fact but it was belief that it was fact, i.e belief. Fact and reality is outside of you.

  • @warspite908

    If Evolution isn't a fact, then prove it wrong. exactly, evolution is considered a fact because there is nothing to prove it wrong. and just because you don't understand it doesn't mean it's wrong friend. you gave an example of science being wrong, yes. science can be wrong sometimes as there is so much knowledge yet to uncover and the same knowledge can possibly disprove or make it harder to understand what we once thought we understood. you want science to have the absolute truth of everything? science only observes. if it can't look into something more than it already has, then it's pretty much considered a fact. there are plenty of proof that evolution is real. if you genuinely want to know about it, then google it.

Agnostic-Atheist "What really sells you on that?" The fact that no evidence exists to prove the existence of any gods. As a Hindu atheist I have to admit that being an atheist in India is really easy and many times welcoming especially in Hindu community. In my family my mother is a devotee of Krishna and my little sister is following her footsteps. My father is a communist, although he doesn't believe in a religion but it feels communist ideology is his religion. Being an atheist science is what is supreme to me and nobody questions me , I have to enjoy myself and help others to live a happy human life. Cheers ✌️✌️😊

When his wife became a Christian he put his journalist skills to the test to disprove Jesus and Christianity with the hope he would turn his wife away from her Faith when she saw the evidence. He wrote an incredible book about it called A Case for Christ which was made into a movie. The second is ex Cold Case Homicide Detective and ex aethiest J Warner Wallace. He has authored several books, including Person of Interest, Cold-Case Christianity, God's Crime Scene, and Forensic Faith, in which he applies principles of cold case homicide investigation to apologetic concerns such as the existence of God and the reliability of the Gospels. These men are so reliable because they absolutely did not believe in the existence of God but the skills which they used showed them otherwise. These are the types of educated authority figures that aethiest should seek out to have a better understanding and insight. 🙏

Since you can't answer the question, your claim is baseless. This is why you fail to explain why it is true and you know that. You have a burden of proof and your absurd claim is still without any evidence. One more point, these countries like the entire Middle east,Europe and North America were built by religious people, the academic fields of science, mathematics, chemistry, medicine were developed by Muslims,Jews and Christians. Before them the Hindus in india and Greeks. Atheism isn't what made these countries advanced. In fact, the Skandinavians have the cross on their flags as a symbol for their faith. If you ever thought atheism contributed to any of this then you simply exposed your lack of basic historical knowledge. Athesim is China, The Soviet, this is how athesim worked in a state and it produced the worst genocides in history. That is its legacy. Just a reality check for your delusions.
