When we went to Rome we went to the catacombs under the Vatican that supposedly go by St. Peter's tomb. Interesting tour. You have to contact the Vatican Excavation office and ask for permission to join tours (and you have to pay, of course, though the cost is not too bad). No photos allowed, though.

Hard pass. I find the whole idea gruesome (Paris), idolatry, and false (sure it's the tomb of Peter). I majored in History. So I'm not saying they shouldn't exist or that others shouldn't go. I'm just saying my feelings.
