I wanna apologise, I suck at politics so I glazed over the evermore pledge part and worded it poorly. Basically, the main reason we're not completely happy with evermore pledge, other than still being treated like we're different, is that it's not as stable as actual marriage. As it's not under the marriage act, at any point in time the goverment can go hmmm yeah I don't like this anymore, remove the evermore pledge, nulling all the pledges that have been done along with the legal benefits. But yes, while it is a HUGE step forward, it is pretty fragile. We need actual marriage to be assured that the right to be legally bound to our same sex partners will not be affected by any future governments. Apologies for being such a twat!

POCARI THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! I'm ace myself, and I really, really, really appreciate the ace awareness bit you put in. I didn't realize I was asexual until I was in college, and all through my teenage years I lowkey thought I was broken. A friend basically sat me down and said "oh dear honey child, you're ace." And then explained what that meant. I'm out to a few friends, and it's hard because one of my closest friends says things like "you could be straight if you tried" and other stuff like that, and it hurts so much. AGAIN, THANK YOU for your 'lil ace-awareness section. It's a wonderful breath of fresh air from all the "A is for ally!" stuff that's been going around. Hugs!!

I’ve actually known I was meant to be a boy ever since I was born...my brothers made me believe I was a boy when I was a small kid, and that’s basically what changed my whole life. I grew up with boys, I pretty much was always a boy, even though I never had the boy parts. People actually discriminate me as a trans ftm because they sometimes say I became a trans boy just so I could be homosexual. Sooooo...some people of the LGBTQ+ community don’t even accept me which is...kinda sad. I currently am living well however, I’ve found myself a sweet, trans boy to be with and we’re definitely going steady. The comments have calmed down...but people still say things, but hey. Everyone has their opinions. So I don’t really listen to them anymore 🤷🏼‍♂️ Edit: my comment is highlighted and I’m crying on the inside 😭💕💕

I’m bisexual and it’s nice to see a pretty accepting comments section! So many people hate on the LGBT+ community and on the Furry Fandom, it’s good to see some postivity

The furry fandom also led me to discover my sexuality! I had my suspicions for a veeery long time but I never wanted to believe it. I always thought being gay was weird (I have a very close minded family that raised me this way) and i never wanted to have anything to do with it. For some reason I thought it was rare and terrible (even though I have a gay uncle shhhhh) but then I found the furry fandom. I found out that so many other people were attracted to the same gender! It really helped me open up and discover I was a small lesbian fur trapped in the closet!

I'm sort of gay outside but bisexual inside although I have a more gay side. Happy Pride month Pocari Roo 💙

I'm so glad you brought up asexuality, I honestly thought you weren't going to bring it up but I'm glad you did because I am asexual and grey-aromatic. And I'm also glad that you brought up that asexuals are indeed oppressed because majority of people, including people in the LGBT+ community bash and invalidate us. My mom threatened to make me take therapy and even asked my doctor when she found out (by spooning through my social medias). I'm still not entire sure that she supports it and whatnot so I'm currently acting as if I still have to hide and never bring it up when she's in the room but it's nice to be included by you.
