What a thrill! Flying FT Mini Scout with Servo-Pan Caddx Tarsier FPV camera
Ғылым және технология
You asked for it! I added a First-Person-View camera to the FliteTest Mini Scout. I also added a servo for a SUPER neat controllable panning ability! Wow! Let's see how it flies and if I can NOT crash it fantastically!See THIS video • Not for Backyards, but... for more details on the Mini Scout and electronics used (including the SonicModell power combo). On my foam board servo rover, I mixed the rudder with the camera pan servo.

Adam should do that.

Mini Scout is 3 channel so rudder is acting as aileron. Flying quads and 4ch planes most of the time makes 3ch seem really weird. But should still work on 3ch-just don’t mix in too much rudder. Mixing would work even better for a 4 channel plane. I need to put fpv on my 4ch version of FT explorer. No prop in the way!
Cool man

Thanks!
I just ordered the parts for this build, but I went with a 2s 500mah battery because I want to fly slow and floaty. Hope it works out
U actualy did it!

Got the FT Mini Scout on my workbench right now (haven't glued it together, though), and THIS Video gives me a chance to see how to mount a camera on it (not that I will mount on a servo, though!). Let's face it --- I'm CHEAP...! An airplane that cost about a Buck, a camera that was less than $12, a Very Well Used motor and esc ($5 Bucks at a swap meet), 2 nearly worn out 5g. servos, a battery made from 3 single cells, and a $5 Rx. with only 4 channels, what MORE can I save on? (Bet I don't have over $25 invested...!) Haha! Yes, I have other planes too. A boxed Eflite Slick 3-D 480 with all the "trimmings" needed to complete it (but I'm not good enough to fly it - yet!). I'll contend to fly FT Models, until I don't make "Final Landings" every time I try to fly. Thanks for the inspiration, Adam...
That was a lucky near miss at the end!

Oh yeah!
You need only up set camera to use gimbal full
Why not do 3 Axis Gimbal control

Good question. That would definitely be smoother, but I don't have a 3-axis gimbal rig, and I think one would not fit on this plane.
You could stick a foamboard rudder to the camera to help the airplane turning.
