"I'm dancing to quite a different drum beat". The beat on the track is representing a heartbeat if u listen closely. He's dancing to her heartbeat while shes being murdered/raped...he perfectly paints a moving mental horror painting in your mind with words. He's always been incredible. It blows my mind even more knowing that he was on drugs at this time. He was doing all this while fucked up. More than I do sober.

This album was after Em came from rehab and was struggling with rapping so he tried different accents and watched a lot of true serial killer and psychopath documentaries. When he was shady he was on drugs and here he was throwing up those so this was another shade of Eminem and it’s awesome 🔥🔥🔥…ur reactions are dope❤️

This is one of the best songs I have ever heard in my life. To be able to do what he did with the rhyming, scheme, storytelling, and make it all make sense is MIND blowing. You should watch the color-coded version! He literally rhymes the entire damn verse, not just a sentence. I have to talk about the STORY TELLING though! This is like writing a horror movie and it plays a movie in your head and he rhymes the whole damn thing. It's some DARK poetry.

There is a color coded video of this that shows Em's genius. The 2nd verse has internal rhymes for DAYS!!! This is the most lyrically perfect song of his ever. So much so, it is taught in several schools for English majors! I love that he is so psychotic that he wants someone to call 911 so the police can come to get rid of his competition. If you really love this dark shit you MUST react to "3 a.m." AND "Framed" right after! There are about 6 years in between the two, but its a continuation of 3 a.m. Plus there are several Easter eggs in the video. You have to watch the videos though, not just the lyric videos.
