I am 59 now, will be 60 at the end of this year. I remember when this first came out. I just fell in love with this song. The lyrics and the music were just so haunting to me. I love the interlude of the saxophone it is just so beautiful, sad, soulful, and it adds to the fullness and depth of emotion that I believe George Michael was going for in this song and video. Watching this time, really studying it, I can see just how well he acts fluidly with the music using even his body to tell the story. Wow, wow, wow, is all I can to such a talent that is now missing from the scene. He left behind a wonderful body of work for all of us to enjoy. My mother LOVED this. I was only about 9 years old and loved Wham, but when this song came out my mother fell in love and played it over and over all day long. We'd sing it together. She has Alzheimer's now and doesn't recognize much of anything, but I'm sure if I played this she'd tap her feet and try to dance in her hospital bed. This song both hurts and heals me at the same time. RIP George. You were a prolific writer, producer and singer. You brought so many of us so much. Rest well icon.

Amen. I am 50 and this was so dreamy, I'd play the album in high school and swoon and dream of romance. Gen X forever.

I still listen to him pretty much every single day. If not on youtube then on spotify or my own CDs. I think there are lots of us who still listen. George Michael was a talent the likes of we will probably not see again in our lifetimes. He could do it all...song writer, singer, producer, truly a one of a kind. I think the world is a lonelier and sadder place without him in it.

When you look at George in this video, you can see the making of George Michael. His face shows his passion for music & also you can see an older George in his face. Looks more like he did in Faith, love this song underrated but George will always remain in our hearts. Never ever will he be forgotten.

yah, so happy to have grown up in the '80's and been a party to all the wonderful talent in those days. each song told a story and had music vids to match. these days all the songs look and sound the same...boring and so not worth my time. im talking bout the mainstream ones and not the hidden gems ive found lately: eg Celtic Women, Longa V, Skald. I guess Necessity really is the Mother of Invention.

@@vjkenobi9702 according to this day and age it wud be considered limited...but was respective to that time frame. i remember Duran Duran singing their song Rio and the video had them dressed in upscale, swanky suits on a sailboat cruising to an island to find "Rio". thats a lot of $ for back in the day. point is: it told a story and took u on a journey to find Rio...not predictable at all and done with class. and the lyrics matched the video. just brilliant!

It feels like 1986, again. George was in his days of a worldwide famous superstardom, A unique artist. A natural born talent like his is extremely rare. His passing was a total shock, such a fabulous person and so young to leave us all alone without his great angelic voice. May George rest in peace. We will always keep him in our hearts.

This was one of my favorite songs by them, I had the tape(telling my age proud 52 yrs young) and I played it over and over. A couple of years ago, played this on a road trip, my husband fell in love with it and my daughter did too, and she can sing it!

I absolutely adore this man. Have done since a very young child and now I’m 48. I’ve seen him live 4 times ❤❤

@@tonyfelder1206 Totally I remember being very impacted by his music from wham to solo career. I love this day still and always. I realize now being older how talented he was. Such maturity from such a young age. I love George. He told us so much about himself through his music. He went through a lot of heartbreaks. Writing helped him heal, listening helps us too. Getting deep lol

All of George's songs are wonderful, and this song is beautiful, the musician, and the voice more than wonderful. It deserves not to die with memories, and you remember every time that he is the legend of world singing
