Ok, I guess you don't give someone another chance even though clearly the channel is providing entertaining and interesting topics. You sound entitled with the caps. Think about when you created things or worked on a project. What kind of a response would you like if someone critiqued your work and was as callous as you were? She was fearful because she was witnessing something she hadn't ever witnessed before. She was very scared because she had no idea what would happen since she had never had something like that happen. She was terrified of what could happen because it was something that had never happened to her before.

Years ago I was diving, off the Big Island in Hawaii. I was just hanging out, about ten feet under water, waiting for the dive-master to give me the signal to come to the boat when, out of nowhere, this city bus sized Humpback whale appeared right next to me! About two metres away. She looked right into my eyes then slowly turned to display her compact car sized beautiful little calf! She was showing-off her little baby to me! After a couple seconds, which seemed like hours, they both slipped deep back into the depths. When I got back to the boat everyone on board excitedly asked if I could see the whale. I had no words. It was truly one of the most exciting moments of my life!

“Nan” is alternately shown as an older woman and then a younger brunette throughout the video. “Will the real ‘Nan’ please stand-up?”

Whales are very smart and mostly gentle creatures. If they start interacting physically with a human, there is ALWAYS a reason why.

We've heard dozens of different versions of this story with different still photos, and names, but it's weird that noone has ever posted any of the videos shot of "Nan" (this time) and whale #1 or #2 or shark. Nor explained why the two other nearby human bodies in the water NOT worthy of being protected by two huge whales were not the easier shark appetizer. SO many people making a ton of money off repackaging some version of this tired retread of a story, containing every irresistible human interest element, except maybe a puppy.

So painful to hear this Narrator repeat the same thing for 10 minutes.

The photos have nothing to do with the story. It's all about getting views and making money. This guy is not interested in telling true stories. This story is totally mixed up starting with a whale and then a tiger shark that he says can grow to 25 feet when the biggest ones are less than 14 feet. Total bull.

This narrator is when you're taking an exam with a 3000 words essay.

Whales travel in "pods", not packs, boats have "decks" not floors. 10 min of BS for 30sec of facts

Let's put his ass on a really nice pretty big hookalso on a recorder underneath the water while he is talking the entire time and let one of those sharks come after him I think those whales are bump him into the shop just to shut him up

Dolphins have also been known to protect divers from sharks. And even attack sharks to help the divers get away. I've learned never to underestimate other species.

How annoying cycling through all the photos that had nothing to do with the actual narrative. Ruined the whole thing.

They’re aggressively protective as if they were being serious about what they were doing and would never let her leave. Or they weren’t paying attention to her and they might’ve accidentally bruised her. Who knows what caused the bruising but at least they were swimming with her for a reason.

This story is quite touching. It's a shame there are so many derogatory comments toward the man who reads a script and attempts to involve the viewer. Imagine the eternity those few moments felt to that woman. The anxiety I felt for her and the camera operator was due to the narrative and it's finite details. I enjoyed the video, as usual. Stringing it out for the advertising. Must be a certain amount of adverts depending on the length of content. Advertisers like longer videos, this must have been strung out to fit an advertisers length. The content length probably dictates how many adverts the piece can have.... OH sorry, the constant repetition got to me...... Sounds like it was read from an article in Nature or Science, and a load of photos added. In one she's blond in the next dark.

That was an awesome story , It is a great example of a cross-species symbiotic interaction. It is also a testament to the Whale's intelligence and strong familial behavior. As a species, whales are very much older than humans and perhaps not so much more intelligent but maybe extremely more WISE than humans in that they have had countless more generations to develope inherent wisdom. They may also look at humans with a measure of gratitude for preventing other humans from slaughtering them. They understand and more importantly, they remember. I would love so much to join the good Doctor or others like her in studying and and documenting natural behavior of creatures in the wild. God bless such people

KZread rewards videos that are 10+ mins long as they keep people on the site for longer so KZreadrs that have short videos stretch them out to a minimum of 10 minutes.

All these people complain about the length of time the narrative took! I completely appreciate the help the whales gave her and that’s the only thing that’s important! Everyone complaining probably have never experienced near death experiences and those of us who have take life a bit slower and savor life and stories like this a bunch !

Cool story. Wish news channels would report on things like this instead of the negative.

I really love this channel but only wish they don’t drag the story out for so long 😕 I usually go straight to the comments to see what the video is about .

Why so much senseless chatter..over 8 min of "what danger, is whale angry, ...etc etc" to lead up to WHAT vid is about. Seriously? Annoying...lagging..Get to the damn point! Vid should have been under 3 min..including senseless chatter...long winded attempt to build up to....? Yes, whales are highly intelligent...why whales & dolphins protect humans..the evil beings that capture, enslave, & slaughter them is beyond me. Wish i and hope to see a whale in my life time. Only mammal i have seen in the wild was a Dolphin in the Goft of Mexico.

Go to cape cod I guarantee you will see more humpback whales then you could ever imagine also might see some sperm whales they guarantee you will see whales

I actually had spme dolphins swim a little to close for comfort right by me and my kids in Hilton Head SC a couple years ago! Id seen them off the coast in NC too but never in the water that close! It was really amazing to me but it did make me a tad but nervous, being in their territory..🦈🐋🐬

Was body boarding with a buddy(SoCal) about 75 yards out from the shore and we notice these two fins and a human sized shadows get between us and the shore line......needless to say my fucking heart dropped. Never swam so fast in my life, still felt like a lifetime fighting the swell back to shore. When we got to land, we noticed from the shoreline that it was just two curious dolphins. Never been more than hip deep in the ocean again

C’mon guys, the narrator just wants you to get the feel of being Nan. She said the 10 minutes encounter felt like hours. There you go

8 mins of my life that I will never get back! Did this really had to be dragged out for over 8 mins before getting to the point! My interest was shattered!
