Whale jumps out of nowhere during sight seeing tour.

during a sight seeing tour a boat was soaked in water by a humpback whale that was putting on a show and it later swarmed off with its siblings. Its actually a baby whale

I was on a medium-size sailboat once probably 200 miles offshore around Nova Scotia, and this happened. Good-size whale jumps out of the water with no warning whatsoever very close to the boat. It is fun and awe-inspiring, but it really reminds you how small you are out there, and how it's THEIR ocean.
That was absolutely beautiful.

To think of that whale submerged deep below the boat and developing, strategizing, and then executing this plan and jump to connect / bond with these people, if only for a few seconds, is mind-boggling. As it swam away into the depths after nailing it's jump, , it is not inconceivable to also think there was a smile on its face knowing those few seconds of shared experience just created a lifetime of appreciation , wonder, and joy....

Sometimes word "man" does not follow the gender as in particular situation can be used as for term "human" or "mankind"
@shagunagrawal2003

@@nooramirulikhwan6349 Unfortunately, that's another example of how deep-rooted patriarchy is, even in literature. If the nouns/pronouns of other genders can be generalised by using their masculine form, why can't we all rather choose to generalise them with their gender-neutral versions? For example, "cameraperson" instead of "cameraman" or "camerawoman", when there isn't surety about the gender of the subject...

@@shagunagrawal2003 I'm sorry for your language because I'm not a native english speaker. Otherwise in my language (Malay), there are no such thing as gender-related to nouns; example, 'dia' literally used for 'he /she /it'. Furthermore, some gender-related nouns are used as a sign of respect to someone whom rarely expert in that course.

Whales rarely hit ships. I mean whales have been reported to protect people before. Whales don’t want to jump onto a boat in the same way a human doesn’t want to cannonball onto a table...it’ll hurt 😂 only way is if the whale is unaware that the boat is there which is most unlikely but not impossible ofc, it’s only an animal just like us

This makes me think about how there is such a massive realm beneath them that is just completely invisible. That whale was *right there* and they just couldn't know. Your comment reminds me of a clip I saw on you tube of people at the beach. Literally a whale was by the shore and no one noticed. Someone had been recording arial views via a drone and only later saw the whale when viewing the recording. The whale was only a couple of feet away from one of the persons on their paddling board.
