Спасибо. Неплохой ролик. Я сам, за ними бессчетное количество раз наблюдал в Тихом океане и Охотском море. Сивучи под 500 - 700 кг. веса, запрыгивали по гладкому слипу на корабль, спасаясь от них. И никакая сила не заставит их назад в океан уйти, пока сами не убедятся, что косатки ушли.

Их предки очень давно приняли решение оставить сушу и пойти завоевывать освободившиеся после морских рептилий ниши. Земля им точно не по вкусу

У косаток завораживающая красота, как будто притягивает магнитом. Очень умные создания, они очень преданы своей семье, и очень переживают когда их отлучают от семьи. Очень интересный фильм про косаток. Я обожаю косаток. Спасибо за интересное видео.

Вот это в косатка мне не нравится. Акулы более самостоятельны. И самцы у них добывают пищу и отдают ее самкам, то есть они как-то более добытчики и защитники, хотя они меньше самок, чем огромные, но вялые мальчики-косатки.

Part of respecting a wild animal is knowing they’re wild including they can be monsters at times in hunting them. Like they do hunt them for fun out of boredom in mindless manner. And not to put them on the pedestal as you just did here denying who they are.

After seeing "Free Willy" as a kid, I always wanted to swim with an orca. Then after seeing many of them as a teenager during a whale watching tour- you could not PAY me to swim with them! I know in the wild they dont hurt humans. But after seeing these amazing animals in the wild changed all that!

Similar story. Watched Free Willy religiously. Then one day on my 7th birthday I went to Sea World San Diego. I sat in the second row of the splash zone and when I saw the size of that thing…that was the day that you could say I “grew up” and realized that the potential harm they could cause if in the mood was fathomable. Later on in life I would be proven right. I respect them enough to go nowhere near them. They may not have harmed humans on record, but if they can ram boats near Portugal…looks like things are a changin.’

@@MaynesWorld Marine biologists now believe that it is only one pod, and they ram the boats along the Spanish and Portuguese coastline because of the boats disturbing the Orcas hunt, so they get frustrated and stressed out. They never hurt humans on the boats, even when they fell in the water.

@@jrand2631 That's quite unlikely, because Orcas not only are rare, but its the atlantic ocean over the north and western coast of the penninsula where fishing activities arent massive nor high density as they might be in other places.

На самом деле, косатки умными не являются, просто что изучающие их ученые, что блогеры никаких других животных не изучали и элементарных вещей не знают. Человека не едят еще пираньи, ла и акулы никогда не едят людей. Нападают крайне редко, и НИКОГДА не едят живого человека. Тоже равным считают?) Да нет, взрослым китам косатки не опаснее, чем кошка для человека. Они только детеныша могут забороть, объединившись несколькими стаями.

Мне посчастливилось видеть этих удивительных животных в 5 метрах от нашей лодки. Это был 2010 год у берегов Камчатки. Восхитительные создания. Стоит ли мне говорить что в тот момент я наложил пару кирпичей? Учитывая что наше судно было чуть больше самой касатки, а их вокруг 10-11 штук? И сопровождали они нас около 5 минут, просто плыли рядом. Сначало это было восхищение, увидеть их на расстояние 100 метров, но когда внезапно одна из них вдруг вынурнула в 20 метрах от нас, а затем и остальная "банда" подтянулась, тут мне уже было очень не по себе... Впечатлений на всю жизнь.

Thanks for putting this together. Well done. They also hunt some land mammals. They hunt moose in North America. Many don't know that moose have an appetite for seaweed as delicacy, they sometimes dive 5 meters down to retrieve it off the coast where they are ambushed.

“So far, no attacks in humans from wild killer wales have been reported”. So A). They might be friendly or B). They might be such good hunters no one lives to tell about being attacked….. LOL

It’s still a mystery why they don’t attack humans when we could be an easy prey… There have been some instances when in water an Orca is charging to a human thinking It’s a sea lion or fish and when they are like seconds away to get to the person they abruptly stop after noticing it’s a human. They also show high interest on us when we have encounters with them, like they stare at us with so much curiosity as the same way we watch them back. It’s very odd yet amazing. These living beings are extremely smart.

Сильный Хищник, очень умный ! Интеллект почти как у человека. В неволе держат, и удивляются почему нападают на человека.

Уже давно считаю косатку самым прекрасным животным .

Жалко всех: касаток, живущих в неволе, пингвинов и тюленей, которых едят касатки и всех остальных обитателей воды..

This had me saying "incredible" out loud throughout the documentary. Unbelievably intelligent creatures, and impossible to believe people ever thought putting them in aquariums was a good idea. Also crazy how they bait birds for entertainment. Thanks for posting comrade!

It did me too but I find it weird, for lack of a better word. When they didnt want to be used for entertainment but they killing other living things for entertainment! Maybe ironic was the word Im looking for! 👍 I dont like them when they kill dolphins. I love dolphins!

@@d.b.4201 Orcas are in the dolphin family, they're not whales. I've heard there was a mistranslation with their name. They are actually "whale killers" but it got spun around incorrectly to 'killer whales'. Dolphins are my favorite marine mammal, with Orca coming a close 2nd :)

Respect must be given to these highly intelligent, beautiful apex predators. They do not belong in captivity. Very informative documentary!

Their hunting techniques are incredible. I wonder if sharks are still drawn to the blood in the water from an orca kill, or if their sense of fear of being attacked by the orca is greater than the lure of the blood? Thank-you for taking the time to make and post this amazing video. Great information.

Based on what we know, Orcas as a huge no for sharks. The coast of eastern Africa used to be a huge danger zone because of the sheer numbers of white sharks. But in the past decade Orcas have moved into this region and the population of sharks there has been on an increasing decline due to Orcas hunting or scaring the sharks out. So to any shark who is aware of an Orca being in its territory, they tend to leave 😅

@@ACunningLinguist humans are not natural prays for orcas nor sharks. The problem with.sharks is that they sometimes confuse humans with other animals, they bite and rip of a piece, and the person die for blood loss. Orcas don't commit that mistake, and they don't use the bite to explore, so they are not a danger for humans, unless some unexpected extreme and rare situation happens (like orcas in captivity)

I’m lucky enough to get to see these magnificent animals where I live in Wellington, New Zealand. They come into Wellington harbour at least 5-6 times a year teaching their young how to hunt the stingrays in the shallows.

We do too many strange things so we never pass from the curiosity stage to the safe to eat stage. When you’re as successful at hunting as killer whales are you can afford leisure curiosity.
