    While my mapping really needs improvement, I place on a PC. I map my clubs in excel. I have one tab for each club and I copy and paste screenshots of "TopTracers" to record my shots. This allows me to see: carry roll apex spins etc. I add little circle to indicate how far off the mis-ding was. (Greenshot is a free screenshot tool)

    So theoretically, by not taking a mulligan, you could hit a ball endlessly without it costing a ball hit? Who knew? I learned something new today. 😊 Thanks again Babzilla!

    Great video brother - very helpful!!!! I have a question regarding mapping release. I really don't know how to accomplish this correctly. I am guilty of using my release numbers from the fairway mapping and have gotten away with that, as a lot of my clubs/ball have very low release #'s with FBS in low/mod winds - they stick. Now that I am getting into more and more high winds - I am in trouble - LOL. I'm not sure how to tackle this. From what I gather, each hole has different releases as do clubs, spins, ETC.. So I'm thinking this info needs to go in my notes for each hole? Do I just log in what the release is/was for each club I use on approaching that hole or ???? Maybe a video possibility :)) Thank You and God Bless my my friend!

    Release isn’t really something you should spend time mapping because the algorithm of the game can be unpredictable. Many factors will determine what the release of a shot is. For instance: there are times where the ball will actually release forward on a really strong headwind 20+mph on a severe downhill par 3 (wolf 8) if your shot is a flat or top spin 3i. Same with another scenario like Chambers #7, if you have a very elevated hole with a strong tailwind and fast greens, it doesn’t matter how much you’ve mapped because the ball will still release. The idea behind these types of holes (tailwind with 20+ ft of elevation) is to learn how short to land the ball with a given green speed. Equally important is where to land it based on the contours of the green/ speed of those contours/ and the associated wind direction. You may very well pull your hair out mapping when it may be easier to just go out a learn it versus trying to get the right “number”

    Babzilla it Ray, I am confused now. I mapped Driver-PW off the tee no spin, FW 3I to 64 wedge. no spin and 100% spin. I have my Carry/Roll numbers. wind was 0-2 8pm direction. I am shooting worse now with mapped clubs then I was with the wgt numbers. I dont understand why. I am reading the comment and it working for everyone else I am not sure what I am doing wrong.

  • @Babzilla33

    @Babzilla33

    Most if not all shots except wedges are mapped with full back spin looking at landing number only. Because roll will vary from course to course, it’s going to be player dependent on how short or long they wish to land the ball. If you try to hit shots with a combined landing/roll number it will be off bc you’re factoring in the roll that may or may not happen.

    Try this, but after i hit that second shot near green and try to go back, when i pull up the back of the green camara angle, the camara is angled more down the green and you dont see the fairway where you can move your aim flag back towards the tee box.

    A tip I can offer is to look at the little green triangle on the mini map. This will allow you to put your marker at the edge of the fairway for your next shot. Hope this helps! 👍🏻

    On the graft for clubs they have 25% 50% and 75%. What % are the lines in between?

  • @Babzilla33

    The power percentages for all lines are as follows: 10,20,25,30,40,50,60,70,75,80,90, 100% Have to use your best judgement on the in between %s. The yellow meter typically has to be just beyond the given % for it to be that number otherwise it can register the next lower %

    Depends on what your goals are and what you’re trying to achieve. If you play clash/coin rooms/showdowns then apparel is certainly a big plus especially if you know your distances well. However if you are trying to win tournaments, brackets, ready gos to build up a credit bank then all of these don’t allow apparel so you’ll need to know your base numbers for said ball/club. I don’t play any of the mentioned above but I do play for credits so I never bothered to collect apparel for the benefits.

    Hi Babz, this video is incredibly helpful. Thank you. Sometimes it is necessary to adjust a shot by moving from a lower to higher dimple or vice versa according to gut feeling (eg, the condition of the green make it necessary to vary the mapped distance). Is it possible to give a yardage value to a dimple? I appreciate this may vary from shot to shot but I was wondering whether there is a guideline here (for example, with your combination of club and ball?).

  • @Babzilla33

    @Babzilla33

    Жыл бұрын

    With my combo (97 irons, 87 ball) I have charted my clubs for fbs, half spin, and punch fbs from the fairway. The same goes for the tee but with an added flat shot/zero spin charting done. In general, going from fbs to half spin adds anywhere from 4-6 yards to a shot. Reason being is that fbs generates the most apex and ultimately the most wind effect so it doesn’t travel as far. But as you mentioned, sometimes the situation at hand doesn’t call for a fbs shot to create an optimal result. Therefore I need to know what my half spin number is in order to create a shot that will work.

    Good video but, LOL everyone has a but, in reality you only need to map your driver and 3W off the tee since 99% of the time your ball is going tee to fairway on those two clubs. All your irons will be going fairway to green and greens have a different landing than fairways. Irons from off the tee should be done from a par 3 where you would get the tee to green carry/landing.

  • @Babzilla33

    @Babzilla33

    Жыл бұрын

    In essence what you’re saying is true. However it is very difficult to find par 3s to map with ideal situations: low crosswind, flat approach, and able to map every iron on all in the same scenario.

  • @lrowan1

    @lrowan1

    @@Babzilla33 Thats correct. What I did was take my fairway to green distance for irons and added 5 yards for tee shots, then played a lot of best of par 3's and adjusted from there.

    In theory no, a shot is a shot. Tee shots generate more apex so your numbers will be higher. How many shots you wish to chart is personal preference. At the end of the day some shots work well, other shots don’t. Learning and adapting different shots makes you a more dynamic player.
