WFCO-9855 AD Firmware Update

I sent my WFCO-9855-AD Converter/Charger in for a firmware update to fix the issues with the Auto-Detect feature for Li batteries.
This is not a How-To video just a video on how I did it. Always consult a licensed professional before modifying or making changes to your trailers electrical systems.

Why don’t they just put a switch so that the user can choose Li only? This auto feature is odd. I also don’t quite understand why using solar with it messes up the charging. Seems like you could be stuck running a generator, and not actually charging at the highest speed.

I don't remember seeing a label on it when it came back. I'd look for you but it's buried behind a wall in the basement. Sorry.

The Auto Detect feature is 'totally' false advertisement !!! Firm Update is just updating the software on the device..

Not right. Should see blue light. Look with mirror on other end on converter charger. Lithium battery needs 14.4 volts to fully charge. Your still not in true lithium mode

This! The converter should stay at 14.2-14.6VDC (at least while charging) and vary the current to do so. Even cheap portable Lipo4 chargers can do this. At this point, I don't think any converter manufacturer builds a functioning charger. I can't understand why they cannot figure this out like the solar industry has.
