    If you want to tame Xenomorph as an attack soldier, you should try to tame the queen or create some kind of psychic mind controlling device. Taming Xemonorphs with the way you train dogs or other animals is a big mistake. These creatures are too wild, ferocious, and cunning for that.

    Considering FTL travel became the norm,the possibilty of encountering other Alien species(some with higher intelligence) seems quite plausible.Some might even be much more advanced than humans and initiate a purge of humanity if they deemed it as 'expendable'.Would be fascinating to see how WY would deploy trained Xenos to fend off that threat. It opens up an altogether different dimension to the Alien Universe. Somehow,between humanity and the advanced intergalactic race,the fate of who prevails would be dependent on who's able to control and deploy the Xenos against the other. Lastly,another brilliant video with top notch narration and background score.Never disappoints!

    @@DarkOmegaMK2 No one said it would be easy but it still might be more cost effective than trying to launch equivalent of space D day. And I presume that dropping full grown drones would be more effective as if you just drop eggs there is a chance that queen will appear. There are deleted scenes from original movie in which it seems that drone is somehow slowly turning people into eggs. If that is canon then you would have bigger issue to deal with. In general it always seemed to me that xenomorphs are over hyped as extinction level threat. For individual space ship or colony yes. For fully developed world like Earth with millions of soldiers to call upon, advanced communication, transportation and research and manufacturing I dont see it as huge threat. Black goo viral bombing from orbit would be much harder to deal with.

  • @garammaru3272

    But, it appears Xenomorphs do not possess significant longevity compares to humans. Other than Queen, I haven't heard any Xenomorph drones or warriors live more than few years. So once Xenomorph destroy enemy's base, then we can isolate and quarantine the area so none of the Xenomorphs can escape and within few years most of Warriors and Drones would die out and soldiers with exo-suit or power armor can destroy the eggs and the Queen to get the job done.

  • @mrrictus
    @mrrictus6 жыл бұрын

    Wasn't the reason xenomorphs were more intelligent during the events of Alien:Resurrection, because of the genetic crossbreeding of Number 8 and the Queen Alien? Since they both shared genetic memories and instincts of the others original hosts. That would have been passed down into the drones. Example: coordinated cell escape by killing one of their own. Leaving a trail of weapons for Elgin pick up like bread crumbs. And herding the crew of the Betty along with number 8 to an area they had no choice to travel, after opening the cooking units and causing a flood. I may be overthinking this. But this adderall really helps me focus my thoughts into a coherent beam. As thought one speaker is chosen as a mouth piece for a hall of yammering voices. Keep up the cool production of these videos Alien Theory👍

  • @garammaru3272

    @garammaru3272

    Yes I believe the reason why xenomorphs in Alien Resurrection seem more smarter compared to other counterparts were because of crossbreeding. I guess just like Ripley received traits of xenomorph (acidic blood, though less acidic compared to actual xenomorph, heighten physical condition and senses) I guess xenomorphs received enhanced intelligence. But regular xenomorphs also possess above animal level intelligence as they managed to trick humans sometimes. I'd say their intelligence can rival the velociraptors from Jurassic Park series. In Aliens, xenomorph queen managed to figure out how to activate elevator when she was escaping from the facility to kill Ripley and Newt. Protomorphs developed by David 8 in Alien: Covenant did not show any sign of notable intelligence other than going berserk and attempts to attack anything in its path (probably because they were not complete and David's creations are just cheap knock off of Engineers' xenomorphs)

    Absolutely, between having the advantage of Genetic memory and having part of Ripley's DNA that would easily make the resurrection Aliens among the smartest ever produced. Also, Queen Aliens have been reported to be at Human level Genius.. combine that with the Genetic memory factor, and they could've been the scariest Xenos to ever exist... that is, until the newborn came along and basically ruined the rest of the movie 🥴 I honestly wish they would've taken a second and realize how stupid it was to give the Queen a womb and a baby that despite giving birth to it, doesn't consider its birth giver to be its mother..? Any animal that gives live birth recognizes the one who gave birth to it as it's mother, except under very rare circumstances like being abandoned and/or adopted by another animal and imprinting on them, but those are highly uncommon occurrences so it should recognize that the Queen is its true mother and Ripley would just be Genetic Family or even could be considered to be its Grandma I guess?

Now I can't remember the name of the story but there has been an incident of diseased xenomorphs, the time when when that crazy Dr dude was abducted by them and he lived in their hive of a long period. They tried to make him copulate with his own mother and other horrific things happened during the incident, I'm sure others will remember the details of this incident, name of the story and the dr's name etc. Anyway, point is, they have been know to be diseased and this was noted by probably the foremost scientist to study the xenomorphs so for Weyland Yutani to say in some kind of mission statement is a bit of an oversight or a deliberate lie.

    Weyland Yutani Dr. G reporting. Your insight into the xenomorph contains vital information when it comes to it's chemistry. But the baseline information is left in the dark. This lifeform was created with a genetic ability to somewhat replicate DNA it breeds off of. As far as it's intelligence goes it is indeed linked to it's queen but overall the xenomorphs seek solely to further their own existence by any means necessary. When faced with eminent death and or extinction the xenomorphs rely on basic instincts that forces a change. One such change could be a lone xenomorph molting into a queen in the absence of one. It is during these changes where the xenomorphs entire genetic makeup is what is vital. It is a fact that all known xenomorphs may have this ability. Further examination is required.

    This video was sponsored by Weyland-Yutani. "Weyland-Yutani: We swear we didn't think this could happen!" But really though, alot of the lore says that WY would use it as a weapon against an enemy but they don't really say who the enemy is. Given how a squad of USCM can take out a whole hive it makes you think that xenomorphs are most effective against civilian centers.

    They probably plan to sell them as Bioweapons to the USCM. The USCM would then probably deploy them against the Union of Progressive Peoples, or UPP for short. The UPP and United Americas are hostile nation-states, after all.

    Question: is it safe to assume that W-Y is driven by the sole corporate resposibility of the Friedman School of Economic Theory that was highlighted and implemented by the industrialists of the late 20th century?: to increase shareholder value above all? If so, that would then require a bit of suspension of disbelief fron the audience to think that a company could genuinely be so altruistic whilst driven by profit.

    You could build a trilogy of films based on this dossier alone. The degree to which the franchise was bungled after Aliens, and in Ridley's new prequels is infuriating. There should be anywhere between 9-12 seamless films spanning from the Engineers developing mankind, the xeno, and AI, thru Ripley's arc, to all out cosmic warfare afterwards between the xenos, colonial marines, and last of the engineers.

    I want to know who the enemies of WT and/or the USCM are. They always reference warfare as a use for the xenomorph, but who are they at war with? I've never seen any reference to any enemies that they may want to use the xenomorph on. Using a xenomorph to sabotage corporate rivals would be a bit extreme.

    Actually, the USCM has a rival nation-state that is very powerful, even if not seen often in Alien. The Union of Progressive Peoples or UPP is a socialist nation-state that's at odds with the USCM. So if I had to guess, they're probably prepping for a war with the UPP.

    A lot of these points are kind of destroyed by ALIENS, really. The armor-piercing rounds from the Colonial Marines' pulse rifles were highly effective, all things considered, against the xenomorphs, so using xeno skin/exoskeletons for body armor wouldn't really be that useful. Also, using their blood for acid? I mean, we already have acid like HF that can eat through skin pretty well. Plus, it's really not more effective than just shooting them. There's a reason the modern military sticks mostly to projectile weapons over acid or other types of weapons: you can store a lot of them, they're very lethal, they can pierce just about everything, and they have a lot of stopping power. I just don't see that much benefit from these areas of research, especially considering how difficult it is to try to control the xenomorph drones from murdering you or each other and causing a big hole in your ship that could blow everyone out into space. It's the same problem that I had with the Umbrella Corporation. What's their goal, to turn the entire world into zombies? To make a super zombie? To just make really durable humans using zombie DNA? The goal seems to be changing all the time, or it just never seems to make sense or is ever shown as working.

    The creature grows very quickly, is tissue compatible with a wide range of hosts, very strong. From the creature, you could get no tissue rejection, fantastic healing properties, allow people to live without having to eat, no need for clothing or spacesuits. Imagine soldiers riding into battle on top of specially bred xenomorph mounts. Imagine every colonist implanted without a xenomorph which is kept from growing by means of a daily ingested drug; if the colony revolts then there is no more drug and no more revolutionary colonists.
