The execution mark on this exercise is an absolute disgrace. The fact that the WTC is pushing judges to mark this as 8.233 is an insult to the athlete when compared to other exercises that get high 7s and low 8s. This reeks of penalizing a gymnast for lower difficulty, a double penalty, given that the difficulty score already is handling that.

if she would’ve been from the us i’m sure her execution score would’ve been higher it’s sad cause her tumbling was so clean

Robb Duarte And Nina’s sucked compared to this. Plus she only has two passes, while Lieke has 3 (not the most difficult, but still 3).

Dee Callow actually I have to disagree with this. I loved Nina’s routine as much as Lieke. I just don’t know why the judges scored them differently, I wanted both to have 8.6 E score.

@@RobeDuarte Nina's leaps pretty much got away with 0 deductions (well not always) because she's really flexible meanwhile Lieke is not as flexible as Nina. Plus Lieke's turns are not exact (like she either over or under twist it) so she got deducted too.

Double L + double turn = .1 balance on both turns Double tuck = .1 flex feet, .1 forward chest, .1 step Switch ring + switch half = .1 form on both leaps 5/2 twist = .1 crossed, .1 separation, .1 step Triple turn = .1 lack of balance, .1 precision, .1 step Front full = .1 step, .1 bent landing, .1 balance (arm swing) 8.4 execution, underscored but not that much.

Yeah, well, the Netherlands don't train their children like the US. The focus is always on school, not sports. It is actually prohibited to homeschool in the Netherlands (which is a good thing) and gymnastics is not a hugely popular sport. Besides, it is wildly expensive and many gymnasts give up because they can't combine it with school. Smaller country, different system; less depth and a lower level, yes. But try to understand why this is the case.

Uninspiring floor routine.

Unfortunately, yes. This kind of melodrama (both the music style and the expressive movements) has been used thousands of times in the floor exercise and simply cannot offer anything new, no matter how hard the gymnast tries and struggles and suffers.

@@finfelagund & @SnoopyDoo You could be right, but I read anywhere that the story behind her routine is her relationship to gymnastics. First she was passionated, then she lost her passion and now it´s finally back. I think this is a great kind of story and makes her routine unique and - for me personally - inspiring, because I made similar experiences in my sport...
