@@Hydraav2 The problem with higher speeds is that the car is much more impacted by the loss of downforce caused by the spin. When the areo doenst grip you have no chance at catching the slide/spin.

with them looking obviously much slower on tv you often forget that even under safety car they still hit quite high speeds. I mean 220 km/h on the straights and 100km/h through curves isn't what we're used to in f1 but it's definitely fast

Imola is a tricky circuit. No run-off areas a lot of elevation changes, no time to breathe. It's a pure old-school track. If only they would get rid of the Villeneuve corner and make a long straight from Tamburello to Tosa it would be of help to improve overtakes.

2008 F1 cars weren't necessary undriveable in full wet conditions. It's just that it was the first season without traction control and drivers had to adapt quickly. There were also a lot of wet races that season so it's expected to be a lot a mistakes. Modern f1 cars however, yes, are undrivable in wet conditions. Nico Rosberg said a few years ago during a commentary, I dont remember which race, that because cars nowadays have a lot of small wings and fins, they have to be driven in a certain way. If the driver loses control, the car becomes very unstable, almost impossible to recover. And in wet conditions, the driver loses control a lot so yeah. The 2022 regs improved this aspect a bit.

I think Perez also spun off under safety car conditions (either '21 or '22). George Russell also crashed in 2020 behind the safety car.

Is it just me or does it look like Max was aggresively steering left almost like he wanted to make the car spin? He rotates the wheel more compared to when he was swerving to keep the tyres warm. I think he misjudged how much he was steering there and the throttle didn't help either. You can see he goes slower and uses less throttle after he spins 😂

90% is on just wrong tires, why don’t they put full-wets anymore??

Full wets are so slow, that it's faster to use inters and deal with it.

Why is Hamilton missing? He slid off the track and damaged his front wing ruining his race, but was saved by the almost simultaneous Bottas-Russell crash and subsequent red flag. This allowed him to get his car fixed under red flag, get to second place and score 19 WC points. Without these points Abu Dhabi 2021 would never have been an issue at all.

1st: Driver error 2nd: Most likely driver error (too aggressive over wet-dry-wet track, causing uneven grip) 3rd: Seems like ERS kicked in heavily or too much throttle - in any case, slicks on damp surface showered with debris 4th: Very similar to 3rd, cold slicks on damp surface with too aggressive throttle 5th: Overaggressive turn in, rear not up to temps Conclusion: Title misleading
