Nice dude! I started working at a Deere dealer two years ago and I'm pleasantly surprised how much stuff is still available for this older stuff. I always get a kick out of being able to help out that old salt of the earth with some replacement parts for the tractor he grew up with. Cheers brother, be safe.

Thanks, whenever I get parts for it the parts desk guys don't ever really seem shocked I'm getting parts for a 43 year old machine. Must be other DIY'ers out there with old Deeres

Using cement blocks is very dangerous, under load can suddenly explode. Really good video presentation done. Get some more jack stands for your safety.

It's not that bad, but yes that's an excellent point, he could mitigate some of the risks by using a heavy-duty sling attached to a hoist or another overhead device. Your point does stand regarding the cinder blocks though.

You could use the John Deere Parts catalog to get part numbers and check with a John Deere dealer or with other online tractor and equipment stores. Like greenpartsstore.com or others. James River was my supplier for OEM parts. The JohnDeere online parts catalog will tell you if a part is diacontinued.

How many hours do you think it took you, start to finish?

I would think if I had all the items available and a functioning shop, 40-50 hours but because it was a struggle in the backyard it took me 2 months I think with off and on work.

@@CamoMatrix del sistema idraulico me parese que las mangeras estal mal conectadas porque tengo una mangera que lleva precion a todo los mandos .tanto como direcion freno .lebante dela pala fronta y del la retro .
