    They offer a similar size home in their all ages community in this same area; but you can even get this exact model/floorplan in Port St Lucie.

    No you wouldn't, because at that age it isn't the same starting all over again...sale gimmick, expensive mortgage commitment isn't any blessing at all for seniors, lots of Florida homes been sold for a lot, people running away to face more of the same. New homes with defects and multiple issues, they're waiting for an answer too, mo matter if developers erase Google comments

    You're right and I'm noticing more and more retirees having to come either with larger down payments or cash so they can budget their monthly payment for what they have set with their pension/401k. I'm not the builder, but since I work with them all a lot, I've seen a lot of "hidden" price increases too with these lot premiums going up and up. Fortunately these homes have a really solid warranty program and I recommend an experienced home inspector who specializes in catching issues in new builds so you can get any defects/outstanding items taken care of as soon as possible on the builder's dollar.
