These are really pretty snakes - I don’t plan on getting one, maybe someday look for them in the wild - so this was interesting and informative for that reason.

Just found a baby in my yard.

Me again. Is a diet of crickets dusted with calcium and vitamin D3 adequate, or do I need to vary the diet? Excellent video, BTW.

I provide dusted crickets but I will occasionally throw in a bark scorpion or centipede which they enjoy as well. They also enjoy mealworms and mealworm beetles.

Thanks for the info. I added dubia roaches, and the snakes are doing well. I can find ant lions. Think the snakes would like them?

Also, I have a small water bowl for my (new) captive, but do they stay hydrated only on their food?

I have seen them use a water bowl so I like to keep it in there, I also provide a humid hide which I would assume they could get additional moisture from as well.

What do I do if he doesn’t want to eat? Can I force feed him a pinky ?

Do you cycle the heat up and down, as they are fossorial and nocturnal?

I have it on a timer they get about 11hrs of heat.

Do you know where one could find a individual for sale?

I just killed on of these.. I thought it was venemous .. it came out of nowhere it really scared me..
