Hey Tony - Very nice job on the play through. Great production quality, tempo and commentary. WFA has quickly become one of my fave games for a number of reasons and am currently involved in a multiplayer campaign with the WFA Facebook group. Bad luck on becoming KIA so early in the campaign, but not unusual in this game and as so aptly sang by Albert King… if it wasn’t for bad luck, I’d have no luck at all. Hopefully you’ll take another run at a campaign and if so, here are a couple (hopefully) helpful tips to keep in mind in addition to the good one from campsawyer below: - Spad rhymes with bad, dad, sad - Keeping track of assigning hits during a dogfight can be challenging especially when you are also rolling for other effects in the process, so I’ve found it very helpful to start by pulling the # of hit chits generated for each plane - I’ve also found the Weapons Maintenance skill to be very valuable as it costs only 1 XP but allows you to avoid those nasty gun jams on their initial occurrence which nicely complements the ability to employ an extended burst that can be very effective in besting your opponent Cheers!

Thanks for the video, Tony. That was a rough start with the fuel tank hits. One tip on the head-on attacks, use Reflexes to get the first shot and apply hits before he fires. You might catch him before he fires. Hope to see more.

You can use Reflex to adjust the initiative by 1 in your favor. That lets you fire 1st safely.

All my life I’ve heard Spad pronounced like mad. It’s actually an acronym for Société Pour L'Aviation et ses Dérivés. On the last roll you could have used to your good luck charm to reroll that hit.

@@TonysBoardLifeI just finished my own first play through. This game gets the mortality rate right, doesn’t it? Your play reminded me that I can break off after an encounter. I was assigned three bomber escort missions and one line patrol. The last mission was again a bomber escort. I shot down a Nieuport 17 outbound over friendly territory. Should have returned home at that point. Oh, my pilot was Julius Billik, a brother or cousin? Sad days for the Billiks.

You didn't use your Good Luck to re-roll that last hit. That might have saved you.

First battle, you should roll all the hits out. You had 5 hits, I don't think you rolled all 5 and the 2nd fuel tank should have had a fire roll check. You did the first, but not the second.

Yeah gonna have to find a better way track the hits. I found a few other mistakes. I didn't use the good luck charm when I could have. Gonna start up another game hopefully remember the few mistakes.
