Yes, we feel that more and more. When we were in Bali in the beginning, it is interesting, but you often miss the authentic experiences with local people. The further you go away from the touristic spots, the more genuine and beautiful things you can often see, we got very lucky in Sumbawa and we're about the head to the other side of Asia to get more into the less touristic countries. 😊

And yes, we really respect all cultures and want to show that so whether it is Noemie covering up a bit or us learning to language, we see that it creates smiles on the faces of local people and that's the best way to connect! 😃

Thats crazy! I grew up living on that island and we used to go to that beach all the time.

I watch all your videos! Since the beginning and I adore them so much. You two seem so nice and the quality of your videos is perfect, the vlogs are just beautiful. It makes me so happy to see you doing this, I always smile when things with locals (like them smiling and seing the drone) happen. May I ask which cameras you use? I just wanted to leave this here. I'm only 17 but what you did, I mean traveling in asia, selling nearly all you own, this is my goal. Moreover I just wanted to say that you seem so lovely and nice. what I love about your channel too is that there is no big distance to the viewers, I don't know how to express this, but I like this because you two are so sympathetic!!

Dear Laura, thank you so much for your sweet message. We really appreciate that you take the time to write all of that down. It doesn't matter if you're 17 of 71, you can always decide to travel! But in this case you're lucky as the younger you are, the more it will give you in beautiful life experiences for the rest of your life. About the camera's, we're using a Sony rx 100 ii, Canon 5d, an Osmo and a Phantom 4, but we wouldn't recommend doing this to anyone. We got most of these really cheap and second hand, but we're looking to find one camera that can do a lot more in one, of using different ones. We're going to make a video about it sometime though! We've just started vlogging since three months but we like it more everyday. We're so curious ourselves, we love culture and we always seem to end up in cool authentic adventures, so as long as we'll be able to do that, we'll continue! We're thinking of vlogging a bit more about life as well, as a lot of people have questions on how we're doing this and what our experience is, would you be interested in this as well? We're just checking here because although we don't have that many subscribers yet, we value them and want to create the nicest content and keep growing our channel. So feel free to spread our channel wherever you want, we can certainly use it. 😊 Again, thanks for your comment, we're so happy we make you smile every time, and let us say that your comment also made us smile today. 😃

Loved the bit with the ladies in the rice fields having a look at the drone. They seemed to love it :) Great drone work overall though. We definitely have to add Sumbawa to our plans. Been to Bali and it was just so busy. Great vlog :)

Yeah we were so excited when that was happening! Somehow we always seem to get close with locals and while often technology disconnects everyone, in this case drone technology totally broke the language barrier 😃

Hey Mike, thanks again 😃 We're really excited about this vlog and spend a lot of work on it. We just got lucky with finding all these amazing things and we're grateful for it! We're about to travel to a new country and we're wondering on whether to do more vlogs that also include this lifestyle we're living (like also showing how 'real' a traveling day is and what comes with that) or just keeping it to only these kind off vlogs since they can be the most beautiful. We want to show both sides of the coin and show everything the way it is, of course still with our personalities and stupid jokes. 🙈 We're going to ask our subscribers for some feedback, but since you comment often we were wondering: what do you think of that? Only destination vlogs or sometimes also a vlog that maybe hasn't got drone footage but is very real and maybe a bit more personal?

Yes Hugo and Noemie I would love to see vlogs that include lifestyle content where you show a "real" traveling day and how you make decisions together. It would be interesting to see how you interact with each other throughout the day. You could share parts of conversations you have like when Noemie was shopping for a necklace and you were talking back and forth. I'm glad to see you are both feeling healthy and happy! Hey Mike, thanks a lot for your extensive reply, we really appreciate that. The next vlog will be just like this! We'll just be using one small camera, no drones etc. but the story goes above all the fanciness of course. However, whenever we can shoot all these slomo's and drone shots, we'll keep making them, we're just going to make it a nice mix. When we started this vlog, we purely focused on destinations and wanted them to be the main thing rather than ourselves as we were combining this with our new travel website. But now we're figuring out that people actually like the mix and our personal part in it, so that means that we're going a bit into that direction. Right now we're slowly falling in love with KZread as a platform as we're able to create nice videos but also connect to people from all over the world. And as you see in the videos, we love people. It might not be face to face, but we feel the support from people commenting so thanks for that! Asking for some more feedback in the next vlog, hope to speak then 😃

you guys should come to moyo island too.. It is off the north coast of Sumbawa Island it's another paradise with good spots for snorkeling and scuba-diving :)

As Indonesian I feel ashamed because I haven't visited Sumbawa but you guys did. You're awesome guys.. I work in West Sumbawa, you missed the Kertasari Beach :) By the way.. what the type of your drone.. I mean the brand/merk?

Seems that you guys are on the "Roads less travelled", see how the farmer women's are excited when they saw your drone, and one question how did your fly the drone when your are riding motorbike? So there isn't any foreigners around? Can see your are eating local foods at the local coffee shop. Are the locals able communicate in English?

Haha 0 foreigners, only local people who are not speaking English. But that makes it all one big adventure!

I think this is the best island hoping vlog i've seen so far in You Tube. Your drone shots are amazing! Those rice paddies shot, wow! You should try to pitch them to Wonderful Indonesia (official Indonesia tourism campaign), not sure how tho, sorry.. :(

You can go to west sumbawa by fery (from Kayangan to Tano ) Or fast boat (from kayangan to benete), I think in the vidio they went to Maluk beach, Tropi beach, Rantung beach, and Lawar beach which is at sekongkang, you can go there from benete in 30 minuts

alright I'll try looking for it on google. I was watching sawyer hartman's vlog and then ur video was on next so i watched it and i really really like it! And I also live in Indonesia so ur vids gave me some travel ideas for holiday. And if i could recommend, I think u should go to Kakaban Island in Kalimantan. The sceneries are super sick! P.s. if you're in West Sumbawa, you just have to search for the Air Terjun (it means waterfall) in the north, some people will know it and you'll be able to find it. Not sure if there are any other pictures of it though! We're going to check out the Kalimantan thing and might head there when we go back this year! 😃
