With some professions - like plumbing - you even need to be a Meister (master) to run your own company (or you would have to employ a Meister). And to train apprentices in your profession anyway. Those Werner comics "play" in the late 60s/early 70s. And at this time a company "set up" with 1 x Meister (master/owner Röhrich), 1 x Geselle (craftsman Eckart), and 1 x Lehrling (apprentice Werner) was pretty much the norm. Often also the wife of the Meister did the office work. Old-fashioned Meisters like Röhrich were already on the decline. But everyone who did an apprenticeship at this time or just had many contacts with those companies had experienced those type of Meisters.

Rötger ‚Brösel‘ Feldmann based his Werner comics mostly on his own youth. And the Character Werner is himself. The Films they made are really funny and made Brösel very famous here in Germany

tatsächlich eher die von Andi Feldmann, seinem Bruder, der auch Röhrich spricht. In der ganz ursprünglichen Version hat Brösel den Meister noch bei seinem wirklichen Namen genannt. Nach einer Klage von dem wurde es in Röhrich umbenannt

hi Shae, the Werner films have cult status in Germany. The first part was by far the best. The football game is legendary, the teams "1. FC Süderbrarup (original TSV Süderbrarup - Kreisliega Nord) and the "Holzbein Kiel (original Holstein Kiel - 2.Bundesliega)" actually exist in a modified form. As far as the story in the film is concerned, especially in the first part, it is partly based on true events. Especially the construction site history. With this in mind, greetings from Northern Germany. Keep it up, I celebrate you.

You should watch the hole movie of Werner. Later there is an explosion and the Boss thinks that the russians are already there. It's a very funny movie.

hi Shae ! Werner is a german phenomenon. What makes the thing more interesting is the language, kinda "dialect" spoken in the northern area. It's relatet to Platt-Deutsch (dunno where this comes from, maybe the mountain-free land, cause Platt means flat / plain). But ! Never ever judge a Meister by his never being satisfied with whatever ! In the end he's a good guy enjoy watching. Best in the german version, even if you stop sometimes to think what the "nasty" words and actions are all about have the hell of a nice day dude 🤟

Germans always complain, even if they are not serious about it. Where americans do smaltalk, gemans complain (mostly about the weather and loud noices) ^.~ If you ever have the chance to watch the whole movie, do it. The animated episodes are seperatet with movie parts with real actors (which sadly aren´t near as funny as the animated parts) The mentioned explosion is also shown in the movie - also the visit at the lady who calles earlyer and a soccer game on a marketplace which both are hilarious ^.^
