I think Arsenal fans have a lot of love for Arsene Wenger for all he has done for the club, on and off the pitch and for that appreciation and admiration is fully deserved. But yes, clearly Arsenal have been in a slow and depressing decline for a few years now which is no surprise given the amount of star players they are selling.

I don't care what anyone says about Wenger if I was a professional football player I'd want to play for him. He always gave a chance to younger players, he was not a dikkhead (like Mourinho), he just seems like a good guy overall. Plus he was able to create a competitive team with a very small amount of money. Almost no manager is capable doing this, everyone needs to buy Ronaldo or Messi to achieve something great.

How many managers who have strict budget like Wenger because of the stadium deal could remain Top 4 every year? He can't spend like ManCity,ManU,Chelsea, but he has competitive squads every year despite major injuries.

That's still Not enough. Arsenal has the most expensive tickets in all of england and the fans waste money on it for nothing. That's a bit annoying for the fans to be honest. Wenger should've just stayed in highbury because the squad would've been winning trophies right now, but since he wanted a " bigger stadium" that's what he got along with the debt that came with it. So if you ask me he brought it upon himself. You also have to be honest that some of the decisions that he has made have not been effective at all.

Joe Reyes Understood about ticket prices, but know that Stan Kroenke,the majority owner who's american, is oneof the cheapest owners in professional sports. He owns the Denver Nuggets of NBA and St. Louis Rams of NFL. I think they're extravagently high because of the stadium debt, and once the debt clears it will lower. From what I read, Arsene wanted to stay at highbury because of the enclosed seating being more fan friendly and intimate and it also is a classic stadium like Old Trafford, Ansfield etc. I read behind the scenes he was pressured to build a new stadium because at the time we had one of the most dominant futbol players on the pitch (Henry). It was supposed to be a stadium fit for and christened by the King. The Emirates is nice but it's seating is too far from the field, and it just feels too overly snobby that it's extravagent. I believe Arsene even mentioned it's not compatible with the Arsenal fans because they aren't close enough to the field to make an impact.

I agree. I wouldn't bet on it, but it's possible and that might let some people cling on to some hope but...I'd be surprised if they don't lose by more than 3 goals. I don't even thin Wenger expects to win.

We can all understand why he's pissed. He hates contract speculation, he has already made his statements about the FA Cup and the trophy thing is something he has to hear at every press conference. With that said, the "trophy drought" is a complement because we are the only team that it is ever said about, which means that everyone believes that we should win something.
