The fact that so many people commented on how rough she is with the dog, definitely tells you something.....

That most people have no idea how to groom dogs.

Calling that rough is absurd honestly

@ Being so defensive about this is absurd. It was the first thing I noticed, among multiple people, so I'm just saying, MAYBE consider a gentler approach next time with future dogs. I'm not saying you hurt or abused the dog by any means, but you were a bit rough, when you probably didn't mean to be.

Not the groomer, this is a platform. But she's not being rough. Nothing to defend or be defensive about. You are entitled to your opinion as are the couple of other non-groomers here that think the same but it doesn't make it accurate.

The way I just freaked seeing a Welshie! We don't usually shave the ear so far down or as close to the leather. Our standard states the ears should be lightly feathered. Dang that Welshie's ears are long! They shouldn't come past the nose.

She actually touches on the fact some people prefer them less tight..it is personal preference.
Are there health benefits to doing this, or is it just aesthetic?

That breed of dog specifically has issues with ear infections and the more maintained and sanitary the ears are the less likely they are to get infected

The thing is when you're grooming you kind of don't have time to baby them. I understand where you're coming from I felt the same way watching it but if they were petting them the whole time the cuts would take 4 hours and cause more stress to the dogs so as long as they're not causing pain giving a little correction for him to turn his nose so he doesn't get nicked on the nose, really is in a big deal.

She wasn't rough about it..just nudges him. He is very nosey and it is for their safety as groomers use sharp tools.

Rude groomer. The dog wants a pet and to see what you're doing...

Thanks for the concern but this is an edited video, so you aren't seeing interactions with the dog like that here.
