WELLvisors 2003-2009 GX470 dash cover install and review

Picked up this dash cover from the WELLvisors site. They make really nice window visors so I thought it was worth trying out. Here’s my install, a couple tips, and my impressions of it.

    That’s why I did it. We have a guy here that makes some really nice custom fit covers for $120 or so. If there’s one in your area and plan to keep it a while I’d go that. This worked well enough though.

    This one is an Xtrons 9” unit. It’s OK but you can tell the hardware is pretty low end for android. Teyes and Joying have similar and I’d probably upgrade to one of theirs. This was super cheap on eBay though and it works, it’s just slow.

    It’s an old K40 I had laying around, but the bracket is blendmount and I just hardwired to the overhead console.
