Thanks mate, i’m in West Yorkshire so about Hour and Half from Peaks and 2hr 30 ish from Lakes, but yeah i’d never been on any sort of hiking before just a bit of wild camping in local woodland. Better late than never.

I wish I knew how I to do photography and cinematography. The thought of editing is way scarier to me than summit camping. Like you I’ve been camping since I was a bairn but I don’t really record my nights I out. Well done for making that transition to a KZreadr liam all the best on the channel. 👍🏻

Thanks mate, you should try record a simple video that requires minimal editing just to see how you get on with it, like a Gear load out or a video showing how you load your rucksack.. What phone are you using?

Agree with Liam here, give it a go with something easy. Editing can be a bit of a chore (although I'm the type of nerd who likes it). For me I wanted to give it a try with a local walk to me to make sure the whole process didn't ruin my enjoyment of the trip

@@GoodBlokeOutdoors A lot depends on when and where. That was obviously a winter camp without a tarp so I used an Outdoor Research Helium Bivi, in the warmer months I often use a more lightweight bivi like an MLD Solo with a tarp. Alpkit do good bivis at quite decent prices the hunka, hunka xl and the kloke. Price wise you can't beat a ex british military bivi, weigh a ton though 😂🤣 still use mine occasionally.

I enjoyed that video Liam, since I found your channel I've been catching up on your videos. It was the "Why is The Cloud Peak 2 so popular video" that just popped up on the home page of You Tube that took me to your channel, good find, and I subscribed having watched that vid, adding you to the long list of subscribed wild camping channels. Looking forward to more of the same. I get so much inspiration from you guys and pretty much all the gear I've bought and upgraded as been from seeing someone else use it. Currently considering the NeoAir Xlite pad, but trying to justify the cost when it would be my 3rd upgrade is a bit of a task. I currently use a OEX Traverse IMX pad, which is pretty damn good to be fair, so I might just hang fire on a new one for a while. All the best for the new year.

Good morning bud. My 1st camp was in my mom's garden lol, the next one was in Llandeilo on a community camp with Mr Wildwales (another KZreadr incase you've not heard of him) it was a 2 day camp in May of this year, it was cracking tbh. that's the problem for me though, the trains and transportation in general, it took me over 7 hours to get there and I was knackered when I did finally arrive. With all the strikes all the time, it's just not reliable anymore, so I'm now saving up for a motorbike so i don't have to rely on shitty public transport anymore, I've got my sights set on a bike tour to Mam tor. Anyway I'm waffling, I hope you had a great Christmas break and you have yourself a very happy new year buddy 😊 P.s. had to edit lol, as I forgot to mention it was the camp with your sis I think was the 1st I watched and subbed too, hope that helps 🤜

@@GoodBlokeOutdoors honestly where I am there is nothing that's close, I usually wild camp in my local country park, which isn't much good tbh, but as I said, saving hard so I can get further afield, I might try uffmoor woods in the near future, near the clent hills, but then there's the issue of getting there as no buses or trains, it's just the crappy location of where I am tbh.

i love this compilation video liam its so inspiring , well done mate absolutely mesmerising fantastic footage and a chronological diary of your adventures👍-i need to see these places soon as the weather gets a little more forgiving but the place near bradford u were with dad n brother looked just the ticket for a closer by camp for me and also you could cook on a fire too!! , wheres that place liam? and i agree spending time with ya dad n brother what a memory you'll all have plus uve got video of it as well !-my son lives just passed greengates junction so would like to take him with me if its close ? ..time goes so quickly and its a memory i'd like to have with him , much as your dad had with you 😊 ... top work liam 👍⭐️
