Welding Table build

Ғылым және технология

In this one, we build a 48" x 48" welding table using 4" x 4" x .25" square tube for the legs, 2.5" x 2.5" x .25 square tube for the cross supports, and then 2" x 2" x .25 Angle to reinforce the table top and then used 3/8" plate for the table top. We built this for the maintenance department of one of our regular customers. We also review a very super cool tool!

Welding table looks good! The swirls on top for delivery to the customer are a nice touch. New truck is sweet! Too bad it's not a Ford. Recommendation for others when building metal tables - consider paint or a coating to mitigate rust on the bottom, especially legs and cross supports. It'd be nice to close the bottom of the four legs with small plates and mount adjustable feet or casters. Although the table may be level, floors often aren't.

Thank you. All good recommendations for the table. Another thought I had was a shelf on the bottom frame to store some tools and other items. I agree with everything except the Ford comment!😉 In all honesty, I think we all have our brand of choice, but I do enjoy the friendly banter of diesel owners alike. Thanks for watching!

Nice build. I'm wondering about your own personal table. I realize it's probably 3/4" plate, but do you think it might sag in the middle just on its own weight? There's no support in the middle. well, their not very realistic. I'd like to see them do all the stuff we do with a car. If a truck isn't a tool than any type of transportation will get the job done right. Wrong! There's a tool for every job and a truck is just one of those tools. Some people just don't see their own ignorance. Keep up the good work that was a good video, and don't try to understand why the design trucks the way they do. I think they ruined the looks of the Chevy HD trucks the last good looking ones were the 2011 models, but that's just me, but what good is a step bumper when you need a step to get to the step?@@Freedomfabrication777

It probably would be a waste of time, just due to the fact that the purpose of the welds is literally just to hold the table top in place, and keep it from sliding off.
