Just a heads up for future run-ins. Because I know how the sheriff's take advantage of black and brown especially youngers not knowing their rights. I'm from that area. I've been there and done that. I wish I knew my rights at their age. The sheriff's would jack us daily. Hands on the hood, illegal searching, anyone from the streets knows the rutene. S*** was all illegal.

The term "Los Compadres" is another way of saying "a group of Godfathers". Therefore making the term "Los Padrinos" one in the same. My understanding is that there was a "Los Compadres" gang in Compton/Watts area at one point, aka LCV3 (Los Compadres Varrio 3) and if I'm not mistaken they may have resettled out in the Palmdale/Lancaster (High Desert) area of LA County. Not sure if this Los Padrinos set is a branch or the original from that one?? There is also another "Los Compadres" set out in the central 🍊C area of Southern CA. That neighborhood specifically resides & claims the West Side neighborhood of Santa Ana, CA. Originally, the neighborhood established itself wearing the moniker "United Browns" to represent the WSSA neighborhood. Later the newer generations would "rebrand" the neighborhood moniker as Los Comps (short for Compadres), with the intention to push the status of the neighborhood. Today they mostly go by WSLC or WSSA, but occasionally UBs us thrown out there also. Not that any of these two or three neighborhoods sharing a similar moniker are related to one another, but it would be interesting to learn more about them all and how they came to be.
